The Vista City Council will be meeting on November 9th at 5:30pm to discuss Vista Municipal Code 5.24, Establishments Offering Live Entertainment, and provide direction to staff on potential amendments to allow for outdoor or semi-outdoor (window and doors open) amplified entertainment.

If you are in support of Venues being able to host outdoor live music in the City of Vista, please come out and show your support!

Late last night (Monday, June 28th), Governor Newsom signed AB 128 (Budget Act of 2021). With his signature this finalized the State’s budget which included $150 million for grants to independent venues and promoters! The grants are intended to assist in our reopening and provide working capital to rehire and retrain our staff and resume as economic pillars of our communities.

Congrats NIVA California! This is a huge accomplishment for a statewide coalition that only came together a few short months ago. Thank you to everyone who has joined our calls, called your state elected officials, participated in public comment and more. We could not have accomplished this without your participation and advocacy - THANK YOU!

The value of our program is now state law and we are actively working on the implementation, rules and roll out.The application process and eligibility details are being finalized in a trailer bill (AB/SB 151) which is expected to pass soon.
