City Heights Rotaract Club The City Heights Rotaract Club is a community-based service club sponsored by San Diego Rotary Club 33 and the Mission Gorge Rotary Club.

The City Heights Rotaract Club was founded on July 14, 2015. Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people ages 18 and up, whose purpose is to provide opportunity for them to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.

Did you know the San Diego Humane Society’s Community Pet Pantry is one of the largest in the country? 🐾 This weekend, we helped package an entire pallet of cat litter to be distributed to more than 400 pet families served by the pet pantry everyday. We’re so grateful to everyone who volunteered their time to help our furry friends across San Diego. Stay tuned for our next service event! 🐶🐱🧡

This milestone would not have been possible without our amazing past and present members, community partners, and supporters. THANK YOU for being a part of our journey! Your dedication, energy, and compassion have made all the difference. 💙 Over the past decade, we have grown and served the community for over 5,000 hours. We have also been honored three times as the Best Rotaract Club in Rotary District 5340, and this is just the beginning!

This year our City Heights Rotaract club was full of ⭐️WINS⭐️

🎖️Our first awards of the year were recognitions from & District 9 councilmember for our commitment & service to the City Heights community.

🎖️At our Governors Dinner, Dianne Crawford honored us with BEST ROTARACT CLUB OF THE YEAR. The 3rd (& not last) by our club since chartering in 2015! 🔥🔥🔥

🎖️At the End of Year Celebration they awarded us with Best Innovation in Service, due to our District Grant service event with Border Angels for donating 300 survival packages, electrolytes & canned goods!

Thank you to our members for earning these accolades! You are the best. Quite literally!

Our last speaker of the year was , President of San Diego Rotary Club 33, and our very own advisor! She talked to us about her involvement in Rotary and how her grandfather played a big role to that, her journey to becoming CPA and partner at Considine & Considine & what’s next for her when her presidential responsibilities are over.

Today was Mia’s last meeting and presidential roast. Where they couldn’t find much to roast on, except for the fact that she’s nearly perfect😁 what a great thing to be roasted on. Thank you for your time & dedication to our club Mia! Time to “salibrate”! 🩷🍾

Our President, Kendra Macias, had the honor of speaking at , where she delivered a heartfelt and inspiring speech that beautifully reflected the mission of City Heights Rotaract and the community we proudly serve.
Kendra shared highlights of our Chuck Pretto Peacemaker award ceremony & honoree , our incredible grant project with Border Angels, and our recognitions by and . Kendra spoke with deep appreciation for the impact of our club, and extended special thanks to our dedicated club advisors-Marge, Mia, and —as well as our board members (Fernanda Corral, , .15, , , , ) for their hard work and commitment over the past year.
With sincerity, warmth, and a few well-timed laughs, Kendra made us proud.
