You won't want to miss this!!!

Kelsey Van Waart, 11, local Masters world champion at the 82nd FirstEnergy All-American Soap Box Derby at Akron’s Derby Downs on July 20, will be a special guest on the Live with Kelly and Ryan talk and entertainment show on Friday, August 2. During the segment, Kelsey will race against host Ryan Seacrest and guest host Tamron Hall on a residential street outside the ABC studios in Manhattan. Kelsey and her family traveled to New York City from their home in Gretna, Nebraska, near Omaha. Kelsey, who will be a sixth grader this fall, is a third-generation member of the Van Waart family to race in the Soap Box Derby—and the only one to win a world championship!

The ABC-produced program is syndicated nationally. Please check local television listings for air times. In Northeast Ohio, the show airs on Cleveland’s WEWS at 9:00 a.m.
