Community Plate Initiative

We host free warm meal distributions every Wednesday in downtown San Diego. We are currently in the process of growing our reach and cementing our foundations.

Community Plate Initiative is on a mission to alleviate hunger within our San Diego community while inspiring others in their respective communities to do the same. Here at CPi, we pride ourselves in bringing fresh farm to table ingredients to communities that might find it difficult to obtain. We want nothing more than to encourage a community standard of unity and compassion no matter what race,

creed, social, political, or economical status is held. We thank you for the support and patience as we have gone through the trial and error that have led us to where we are now. Please consider supporting us while we continue to establish something unique and meaningful in our San Diego neighborhood.

We are excited to invite you join us every Wednesday night starting at 6:30 for our weekly pool tournaments at !🎱

Not only will you have a chance to show off your skills but you will also be supporting a great cause. 10% of the profits from the tournaments will go towards funding our weekly meals. 🍽️

This week’s meal brought a comforting blend of roasted mushrooms and sautéed beef served over a hearty rice pilaf, all brought together with a creamy Worcestershire sauce.

Alongside this comforting meal, we had the honor of distributing 80 hygiene bags, crafted with love by SCDD San Diego Imperial and San Diego Regional Center. A massive shoutout and gratitude to them for their generosity! 🙌✨
