LTA is proud to bring Youth Mental Health Frist Aid training and certification to our members as an option for our District-wide professional development day. Kerry coordinatd with our Asst. Supt to allow teachers to attend this as an option on our pd day. Teachers are learning critical skills to help support youth with mental health needs. These skills build on, go more in depth, and enhance the training we already receive annually. Also a big thank you to Girl Scouts San Diego, who provided the certified trainers for this course, and to the school board for making mental health a priority in LUSD. Our schools are under-resourced. Our students are left without the support they deserve. Meanwhile, our country’s vast resources are used to terrorize communities and tear families apart. 💔
