Patty is one of the lucky ones. She escaped a backyard butcher, where her fate could have been so very different. She knew her life was at risk, and she fled for her life. We can’t even begin to fathom the fear she must have felt or what she experienced alongside the pigs who never got the second chance that Patty did.

Over time, Patty’s confidence has completely bloomed. The scared girl who was simply trying to survive has become such a gentle and sweet soul. Patty has the freedom to simply be a pig❤️

Beauty sleep is serious business for Chloe girl🤍

Chlo Chlo was raised in 4-H and was destined to be slaughtered. Chloe would have been a baby sent to slaughter if it wasn’t for her caretaker seeing Chloe for the piggy queen she is 👑 Her tongue hangs out like this due to a stroke she had awhile back. It’s adorable and we wouldn’t change anything about her!

We LOVE this post and couldn’t agree more! 😭 Thank you to Merlin’s mama, Mina, for putting into words what rescuing animals and sanctuary life is truly like💕

Running a sanctuary may look cute, fun, and seamless through all the funny videos and adorable pictures our pigs pose for, but behind those moments is A LOT of hard work. Sanctuary life is a daily commitment, it’s 24/7 job. You sacrifice a lot of things in your personal life to make sure these beautiful souls are safe, fed, comfortable, loved, and receiving the care they deserve.

There are early mornings, late nights, endless cleaning, medical needs, unexpected emergencies, and plenty of days when you’re exhausted but you keep going because they depend on you. It is not for the faint of heart.

Once you see a pig or rescued animal living their best life, rolling in the mud, getting belly scratches, or simply feeling safe for the first time… and you remember exactly your why🐷💗

We couldn’t do what we do without our supporters and volunteers! 🐽
