We are all recovering from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic affected more than just our physical health, many of us are still recovering emotionally and mentally. As people who survived this pandemic we can relate to the struggles folks face.
Frustration about unemployment? We get it. Social isolation? Yep, we’ve been there. Fear about not being able to pay the bills? You bet.
But we are stronger together. We know that our mental health suffers in isolation and that’s where we come in. Our trained Community Support Navigators are all bilingual and represent the refugee and new immigrant community in San Diego County. We provide a safe space for community members to call us and talk about, process and seek support as you deal with negative effects of the pandemic. Over the next month our Youth Wellness campaign will be sharing tips and info to help you manage your wellness.
If you or someone you know in the refugee or new immigrant community needs support in a language other than English, please call our Community Support Line at 1-888-222-0980 to speak to one of our Counselors in: Amharic, Arabic, Burmese, Dinka, English, Farsi French, Haitian Kreyol, Karen, Kizigua, Kirundi, Kurdish, Nuer, Oromo, Pashto, Somali, Swahili or Tigrinya
