This 6-week fundraising campaign culminating on Sept 5, 2024 shines a light on the tremendous work of local nonprofit organizations throughout San Diego. Our mission: To create a special day of giving across San Diego County, build a community resource for local nonprofit organizations, and connect people to the causes they care about most. San Diego Gives is a 24-hour online fundraiser, focused on addressing the needs of our own community. It shines a light on the tremendous work of local nonprofit organizations throughout San Diego County. When you make a donation, know that every dollar of your investment will stay in San Diego County. We thoroughly vet every participating nonprofit to make sure they meet the following criteria:
- An independent registered 501(c)3 nonprofit serving San Diego County (not part of a national organization)
- All donations stay in San Diego County to be reinvested into the community
Headquarters and Board of Directors are based in San Diego County
- You can choose to donate to one or more nonprofits through the San Diego Gives platform. Our diverse organizations represent a wide range of causes, from the arts, animal welfare, environmentalism, education, health, human services, equity, and social justice.
