The post auxiliary supplies the goods, or bring your own with receipts for reimbursement. Please, No EBT purchases.

Announcements:

1. Do you know a Veteran or family of a Veteran that is in need of assistance? We will do wellness checks and help out as best we can. We are veterans and we watch out for our brother and sister vets. Wellness checks will begin this week by our Post Chaplain for our members in the 92139 Zip code. If you know of a neighbor vet who needs help with day to day chores, let us know.

2. Our post is available for rental for parties and personal events. Come in and speak to our bartenders for the details

Good day, my VFW Family:

My VFW family are all of the membership of our Post, which is all inclusive of Comrade's and Auxiliary members!

We had our initial training for Discrimination/Sexual Harassment, and Code of Ethics, that was assigned to us from the Department of California, Veterans of Foreign Wars level, and I am forwarding these two documents to all members on this email chain as a dissemination process, for any member who were not able to attend today's, Oct 26, 2025, 1400 training.
These documents have been emailed to members, and also available to read at the Post.

First of all, I request that everyone take the time to read these two documents, in their entirety, to ensure that everyone understands the responsibilities of all members, while at our Post!

This is a reminder about today's Sexual Harassment/EEO training at our VFW Post, on Sunday, Oct 26, 2025, at 1400/2pm.

We will be having a Sexual Harassment/EEO training at our VFW Post, on Sunday, Oct 26, 2025, at 1400/2pm. This is a mandatory attendance for all bartenders and Post officers, and for all members that are available to join us, because it not only satisfies the requirements of the VFW, Dept of CA and National, but also educates us, or gives us a refresher of past trainings of this nature in our lives.

Please join us, and we look forward to seeing you there!

I would like to thank everyone for all the clothing donations that have been received. The VA hospital is in desperate need of Men’s shoes & pants. They can use new socks & underwear. All shoes (new & used, are in constant need). The VFW 11387 Auxiliary appreciates all our members who have done to support the clothing drives. Thank you from VFW 11387 Auxiliary!

Good day, VFW Members:

“D-Day and the Normandy Campaign: June 6, 1944, 81st Anniversary”

D-Day, otherwise known as Operation OverLord; On June 6, 1944, the Allies launched the long-anticipated invasion of Normandy, France. Soldiers from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and other Allied nations faced Hitler's formidable Atlantic Wall as they landed on the beaches of Normandy.

Let us give a moment of Silence for those fallen hero’s of this memorable day in our military history, and as many know was a major turning point in the war in Europe.

This is a reminder of today's "VFW Post Day of Service"
Please come and support our efforts to support our military community!

I’m here to share with you our activity for the “VFW Day of Service,” in which we will be supporting our VFW Post Auxiliary in one of their programs to help collect dried food for the lower enlisted military families in our area.

Our Auxiliary needs 70 more boxes of Mac & Cheese to which their goal of 200 boxes to support the STEP (Support The Enlisted Project) Program!!

May 30, 2025, from 3 PM until closing.
We will be collecting boxes of Mac & Cheese.
Please bring in a 4 pack, or at least 4 boxes of Mac & Cheese.
It can be the least expensive, $0.58 box variety.
With your donation for our Post Day of Service, your first drink will be discounted 50%.

Good Day VFW members:

One of the organizers for this wheelchair regatta is requesting assistance from our Post to lift these disabled veterans to be assisted onto the boats, and it's this Sunday, June 1, 2025, so please volunteer to assist, and I'll update with more details to come.
