🌟 Celebrating the Next Generation of Leaders!

What an incredible evening attending the RISE San Diego ILIA Awards in support of one of our amazing Young And Prosperous youth leaders, Ashely Ordaz!

Ashely, a senior at University City High School, was nominated for the Next-Gen Influencer Award, which recognizes young leaders ages 16–25 who are making a meaningful impact in their communities through advocacy, action, and leadership.

We couldn’t be prouder of this young lady and everything she has accomplished in the areas of social justice, public policy, and community advocacy. Ashely is a shining example of what happens when young people find their voice, understand their power, and use both to create positive change.

As she prepares for the next chapter of her educational journey, college, we look forward to watching her continue to grow, lead, and influence the world around her.

Ashely, you are not just the next generation of leadership. You are already leading today! 🎓

This is what Young And Prosperous is all about. Developing young leaders who don’t just talk about change, they become the change!

🎓🏆 Celebrating Excellence!

Congratulations to Young And Prosperous (YAP) student Ke’Niyah Green on being selected as one of this year’s NAACP San Diego Branch Freedom Fund Dinner Scholarship recipients! 👏🏾

Ke’Niyah is an outstanding student-athlete at Abraham Lincoln High School, maintaining an impressive 3.5 GPA while competing in three sports: flag football, basketball, and track! 🏈🏀🏃🏾‍♀️

Balancing academics and athletics takes dedication, discipline, and determination. Through sports, Ke’Niyah has developed valuable leadership skills, learned the importance of teamwork, and discovered what it means to keep pushing forward even when faced with challenges.

A special thank you to the NAACP San Diego Branch for recognizing her accomplishments and continuing to invest in the next generation of leaders throughout San Diego County.

Keep shining, Ke’Niyah! Your hard work is paying off, and this is only the beginning!

107 Years of Excellence! ✊🏾🏆

What a special night attending the NAACP San Diego Branch Freedom Fund Dinner, celebrating 107 years of excellence under the theme “Honoring the Past & Shaping the Future.”

It was an incredible evening surrounded by amazing people who are committed to uplifting our community. But what made the night even more meaningful was seeing our Young And Prosperous (YAP) youth leaders Devin Bacon (Otay Ranch High School) and Brooklyn Jones (Otay Ranch High School) recognized for their academic excellence, leadership, and community service, while receiving scholarships from the NAACP San Diego Branch! 🎓👏🏾

These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do. When we invest in our young people, we aren’t just celebrating their accomplishments today. We are shaping the leaders of tomorrow!

Congratulations to NAACP San Diego Branch President Kenya Taylor on a successful event, and thank you for continuing to invest in the students of San Diego County.

The future is in good hands, and our YAP youth leaders are proof of that!

Built For This!

It’s been an amazing weekend of excellence in the county of San Diego. What an amazing evening attending the San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce Gala, Built For This!

A special thank you to U.S. Bank for the invitation and opportunity to be surrounded by so many inspiring community leaders.

One of the greatest rewards of building up our young people is eventually walking into the same rooms they are in! 💯

I love seeing our Young And Prosperous (YAP) youth leaders attending events like this, building relationships, expanding their networks, and being supported by other incredible mentors throughout our community.

Another Investment in Our Youth!

The Young And Prosperous Foundation (YAP) is proud to announce that we have received a general operating grant to support our continued efforts to empower, educate, and develop the next generation of leaders!

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Price Philanthropies Foundation Fund of the Jewish Community Foundation for believing in our mission and investing in the work we do throughout San Diego County.

Support like this allows YAP to continue creating meaningful opportunities for students through mentorship, academic achievement, college readiness, leadership development, and community engagement.

Every investment in our organization is an investment in the potential and future success of our young people.

We are not just preparing students for college. We are preparing them for life! 🎓

Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service. 🤘🏾

The young men of the Young And Prosperous Foundation’s Young Excellence Club joined their mentors from Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity - ΛΙΣ Lambda Iota Sigma Chapter - San Diego, CA, and the Lambda Iota Chapter at San Diego State University to support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

What made this day even more special was seeing our young men take the lead. YEC youth leader Marvin Hines of Olympian High School helped coordinate the walk, bringing together his peers and mentors for a meaningful day of service and brotherhood.

At YAP, we believe leadership is developed through opportunities to serve, organize, and make an impact. We’re proud of Marvin and all of our young men for continuing to lead by example.

Thank you to the men of Sigma for being the example. 🤘🏾🕊️🔵⚪️
