This time of year Bethlehem, the birth place of Jesus is usually extra special filled with energy, light, and warmth but Palestine is grieving for Gaza and the holiday festivities have no meaning or joy. As Christmas in Bethlehem has been canceled, the traditional Christmas tree on Manger Square is absent. The colorful string lights adorning the city are off. The bustling Christmas markets are closed . The street alleys are empty. The city parades are beat-free. Watching our people suffer in such barbaric way, we can’t feel joy. We pray for peace, we pray for humanity, we pray for a free Palestine. All we wish for is a ceasefire 🙏🏽🕊️

As the world commemorates its 75th year of International Human Rights Day, we pray for a just world; a world full of love and peace, a world with the right to equality for all , freedom from discrimination for all, right to life, liberty , and personal security for all, freedom from torture and degrading treatment for all, freedom from exile for all, right to freedom of movement for all, freedom to worship in peace for all, freedom of opinion and Information for all , right to education for all, right to water, food, and shelter for all, rights to adequate living standards FOR ALL🌏🙏🏽 🇵🇸

House of Palestine introduces our first monthly book club led by Rawan of 📚Join us for this month’s book, The woman from Tantoura, where we follow the life of a young girl from the village of Al-Tantoura in Palestine. We will meet at House of Palestine at 5pm on January 13th where we will have coffee, tea, pastries, and discuss the book. There will be limited spots due to capacity. DM us and stay tuned for the registration link ! If you can’t make it to this one, there will be one the following month with a new book! Looking forward to meeting with you all!

House of Palestine needs your support more than ever! Come by Friday & Saturday. Stop by the food booth for authentic Palestinian falafel, hummus, shawerma, fresh dessert and more! 10% of net proceeds will be donated to Gaza and House of Palestine will match the donation up to 10K!🙏🏽

At this difficult time, our hearts are with our friends and families in Palestine. We send special prayers to the families of our HOP Board members and volunteers who have lost family members living in Gaza and those whose families have lost their homes, their livelihoods, and have been displaced. We mourn all the lives lost. We thank all the members of the Cottages and supporters at large who have reached out to us at this time of humanitarian crisis. We ask everyone to join our hands in prayer 🙏🏽🕯
