Friends & Family, we are pleased to inform you that our in-school health services program has begun in earnest. Last couple of months, we managed to develop software that enable us to collect and preserve health records of thousands of school children in and around Bahir Dar, Ethiopian. We also managed to train a medical team that include 5 pediatric nurses, 1 bio data, nurse, and 1 environmentalist. Many thanks to Orbit Health (Paz, Dr Daniel), Dr Melkam, and H4E medical board members (Dr Gabriel, Dr Mesfin, Professor Alemayehu, Dr Dagnachew)for your magnificent job in making our in-school health program reality. Teyma Elementary has now become the first school in the country to have a School Health Record that is digitally saved & collected Thanks to all our friends, family, and partners (Amhara Bank)in this endeavor, without your love and support none of this would have happen. We believe it's a Step in the direction, and lot needs to be done as we strive to improve the much neglected education system of Ethiopian!

Friends & Family, I had the privilege to go back to my old school (Saint Jo) where it all began for me and thousand others. It was Friday lunch time and the inter-mural sport competition was fierce and with rowdy fans spectating. Just like old days @ Saint Jo. I had also the pleasure meeting with my old bio teacher Ato Alemu(high school vice Principal now), we shared joyous old moments and had also fruitful discussion on how Hope for Ethiopia & Saint Joseph School work in collaboration as we strive to promote School Sports & Wellness program in every school in Ethiopia.

Friends & family, today, I had the privilege to meet Ahadu Gebru Zewdie ( founder & CEO Sport4change). He leads a well established civil organization with a mission of global networking & building the capacity of sport to achieve the sustainable development goals in Ethiopia. We @ Hope4ethiopianc are excited to forge collaboration with Sport4change as we strive to build a healthy & civic society through School Sports & Wellness program that includes Sustainable Nutritious School Meal Program.

Friends & Family, the launching of H4E/BDU school Sports & Wellness program in Bahir Dar @ BDU Old Senate Hall was a success. Engaging parents committee, school officials, government officials, and the citizens of Bahir Dar City; all reaffirmed their commitment to make Hope for Ethiopia SS&WP reality in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia.
Many thanks to all of you who made this event happen.

Friends & Family, it was indeed a joyous & promising day @ BDU Old Senate Hall as we launch our In-School health services proragram in collaboration with with Teyma Elementary & Tana Haik secondary schools in Bahir Dar Ethiopia. In attendance, VP of BDU Dr Tesfaye Shiferaw, Ato Asmamaw (City Administration Health Department head), Ato Mulugetta Lule ( Amhara Youth Sports Commission beauro), Professor Alemayehu Bishaw, Ato Pazion Cherinet (Orbit Health), parents committee, local guests & partners.

Friends & Family, Hope for Ethiopia is honored to welcome Orbit Health as partner and capacity builder in our endeavor to implement in-School health services in every school in Ethiopia. And many thanks to mr Pazion Cherinet (Orbit Health) for his leadership and commitment to make H4E SS&WP reality. Mr Pazion Cherinet is also one of the keynote speaker on our in-School health workshop to be held on Saturday December 3, 2022 @ BDU.

We at H4E are pleased to inform our friends & family that the VP office of Research & Community Services at Bahir Dar University announced that H4E/BDU In-School health services program will be launched on Saturday December 3, 2022 at BDU in partnership with both of our model schools; Teyma Elementary School & Tana Haik Secondary School in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. And we are very thankful to Dr Tesfaye Shiferaw (VP) @ BDU for his role and leadership as we strive to make H4E School Sports & Wellness Program reality in Ethiopia. Greetings from Addis friends & family! After long and extended winter break due to matriculation exams in all our academic institution, we are happy to announce that all our H4E board members at Bahir Dar University are back and so are we.
Today, I was at Addis Ababa University and had the privilege to meet with Dr Zeru Bekele (Associate Dean for Extracarricular Activities & Sports AAU) to discuss on how to implement H4E School Sports & Wellness Program including H4E research proposal on National youth sports Coaching & Athletic Administration Certification programs @ AAU. We will be back in Bahir Dar this week to launch our in-School health services program.
