Rady Children's Hospital- Young Professionals Auxiliary Unit

Last week, the Young Professionals Unit hosted the inaugural Big Hero Charity Golf Outing in partnership with Little Heroes League (LHL) to support medically complex babies at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. The unit's first major fundraising event raised over $110,000 to support the Little Heroes League program, which provides care coordination services to babies and their families in the NICU.

The event took place on May 12 at the beautiful Fairbanks Ranch Country Club and was very well-attended, with 140 guests enjoying a private 18-hole course, beverages, lunch, and special activations and prizes along the way. Once golf was completed, guests attended the dinner reception, which included live and silent auction items and an introduction to the Little Heroes Program from the family that founded it.

During the reception, we heard from a grateful family – Andrea Fletcher shared her emotional journey with twins Aubrey & Aiden, showing how LHL’s care coordinators made a life-changing impact during their months-long stay at Rady Children's NICU. The twins are doing well and were able to join us for the event, marking their first 'social outing' since being in the hospital.

Please make sure you stop by your local Jersey Mike's as 100% of their sales today will go to the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego.

All 56 Jersey Mike's locations in San Diego county will be participating.

The Peckham Center provides specialized cancer treatment and hematology services and is a leader in clinical research giving children and families the best hope for a cure.

We wanted to let you know about an exciting fundraiser that the Young Professionals Auxiliary Unit will be hosting on February 8th, 2023 (Wednesday) from 5p-8p at The Hop Stop in Poway!

20% of all food sales will go to benefit the Heart and Cardiovascular Health Department at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego.

Hello Everyone! The Young Professionals Auxiliary Unit is excited to let you know that the Rady Children's Ice Rink in Liberty Station is opening tonight with music and fun from 5:30p - 10:00p.

For 25 years Rady Children's Ice Rink has been providing seasonal outdoor family fun for San Diego. It started with a vision to bring an outdoor ice rink to San Diego and raise money for kids with cancer. In partnership with Rady Children's Auxilliary, Arts District Liberty Station and San Diego Ice Arena we are able to provide this event each year.

We had over 35,000 skaters last year and have helped raise over 1 million dollars for the cancer care programs at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. Net proceeds from the ice rink directly support the Thriving After Cancer program at the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego.

During the month of April, The Young Professional's Unit is hosting a clothing drive for the Emergency Department at Rady Children's Hospital!

We have included an Amazon Wishlist that includes items requested by the department. Please purchase items from size 6 (kids) through 2XL (adults). If you are donating multiple items, sizes can vary on each item!

The donations will be sent to our Hosptial Liasion who will make sure the donations are delivered to the Emergency Department.
