When we hear stories about homelessness and fentanyl addiction, they don’t often come with happy endings.

But there is hope. ❤️
This week, We See You San Diego’s Executive Director Laura Chez joined Keith Cofield, Data Analytics & Volunteer Engagement, on K**I News to share what sustainable transformation can look like and why getting someone off the streets is only the beginning.

Keith knows this story personally.

After 12 years of homelessness and 25 years in addiction, one invitation changed the trajectory of his life.

Today, Keith’s story looks very different. We’ll let him tell you the rest. ❤️

So far in 2026, We See You has helped create more than 100 pathways off the streets, and today we are actively sponsoring and walking alongside 45 men and women as they rebuild their lives.

We don’t just want people to get off the streets. We want to see lasting freedom, restored families, people walking in purpose, community, and new life.

Sustainable transformation is possible one precious soul at a time.

Every Tuesday, we pause the party for birthday celebrations. 🎂

Each birthday guest is celebrated with dessert, a candle, a card signed by all of our volunteers, a room full of people singing, and a bag of practical gifts.

We’re running low on birthday items and would love your help!

Our current needs include:
🎁 Nutritious snacks (protein bars, crackers, trail mix, etc.)
🎁 Fruit snacks & packs of cookies
🎁 Reusable water bottles
🎁 Hydration powder or Vitamin C packets
🎁 Skin cleansing wipes
🎁 Lightweight meals requiring only hot water (ramen, oatmeal, etc.)
🎁 Socks
🎁 Small flashlights or lanterns
🎁 Small blankets
🎁 Costco quick-dry beach towels

At the moment, our birthday bags are featuring a lot of Goldfish... and we’d love to add a little more variety. 🐟😅

If you’d like to help us celebrate our guests each week, donations can be dropped off at any Tuesday night dinner party.

Thank you for helping us make every birthday a little more special. ❤️

Welcome to our Monthly Replay!

In July…

10 people exited homelessness
45 total people in Residential Recovery
779 dinner guests
2,357 pounds of clothing & hygiene supplies distributed

These numbers tell a story of hope, but they also represent countless conversations, relationships, prayers, and opportunities to walk alongside men and women as they pursue lasting transformation.

None of this happens without faithful people like you.

If you’d like to partner with us, your monthly support helps make these life-changing moments possible. Visit the link in our bio or scan the QR code to join us in bringing hope to San Diego.

Two years ago, this beautiful soul made a decision that would change the trajectory of her life, and the lives of generations to come. She walked off the streets after 3.5 years of homelessness, put down drugs, and to this day has never looked back.

After giving birth to her precious daughter alone on the streets, Paige was devastated, miserable, and felt completely hopeless. One day, a friend who was also experiencing homelessness told her about an organization that could help her find a way out. The invitation sounded too good to be true, but Paige was desperate, and her love for her daughter gave her the determination to say yes to We See You.

She bravely completed a 10-day fentanyl detox and then wholeheartedly committed to six months of residential recovery. There, she met Jesus, and her life has never been the same.

“I don’t even THINK about drugs anymore. Getting high doesn’t even cross my mind,” Paige joyfully reflected.

Today, Paige is living proof that lives can be radically transformed. The courts closed her CPS case, and she now gets to be the mom she longed to be for her precious daughter, Mya. She has a beautiful home, a car, a job she loves, her family has been restored, she is in school, and she is living a life filled with faith and purpose.

This week, Paige was invited to share her story on K**I, marking two years of victory over homelessness and addiction and the beginning of a lifetime of hope.

We love you, Paige! What a gift it is to walk this journey with you and Mya. Praise be to the God who exchanges beauty for ashes!
