Baby Lucy is now 1 lb. 14 ounces!! We are so excited that this girl is growing every day and has an insatiable appetite. Baby Lucy is 18 days old today and she is about ready to open up her eyes! We want to thank each and every one of you who have donated to our GoFundMe and who called and paid the vet directly. We are so grateful for our village!! ❤️

Mario is like a little shadow — he wants to be involved in everything that’s going on. Whether you’re moving around the house, exploring outside, or doing something completely ordinary, Mario is right there, happily keeping you company. If you ask him what he’s up to, he’ll just c**k his chunky head sideways in the cutest manner. If you compliment him, you can see the fattest smile blossom, as he wags his tail while somehow trying to squirm closer to you even though he’s already leaning against your leg.

Alex, on the other hand, is a sunset collector. Each day, he searches for the perfect spot to settle down and gaze out as the sun descends over the beach. He also enjoys standing up, putting his paws in your hands, dancing together, and looking up with his adorable blue and brown puppy dog eyes.

They’ve also newly discovered how to play with toys! They hop alongside a rubber disc as it rolls by or proudly swing it around with it in their mouths. And every now and then, I’ll walk in on them giving each other little kisses — a sweet reminder of just how special their bond is 🥹

Alex and Mario are basically two oversized babies happiest together, and I’d love to see them find a family who will cherish them both. If you’re looking for a pair of loving, playful companions with two distinct personalities, these two might be your perfect match ❤️

Hope needs a home to call her own! This sweet little girl keeps getting overlooked because of her battle wounds, scars and part of her back leg is missing. For those of you just now seeing this for the first time, she gave birth and 120° weather in Mexicali and a pile of trash outside of a tire shop. We’re so grateful we were able to save her puppies. Now it’s her turn to be saved. She’s the sweetest little thing! She gets along with all dogs of all sizes, she’s so well mannered she’s crate trained and she’s potty trained and she’s a total love bug when she looks into your eyes your heart will melt! 🆘 our foster had an emergency and had to bring December back. Now we have SIX UNACCOUNTED FOR PUPPIES that need fostering otherwise they will be stuck in boarding, which isn’t a practical option for them or us. 🆘

Mario and Alex are named after the young ladies who went above and beyond in 110° weather in Lake Perris to stay their lives. They went from being homeless and now they’re in a beautiful home living their best life look how happy they are frolicking with one another. Mario was very shy at first and had to be carried out the car like a baby to his new foster mamas home. Alex felt right at home immediately and is very friendly and smiley. After settling in the house and following Alex everywhere, Mario became like glue to his foster mom, making sure he’s sticking close to her at all times. Both boys gobbled their food up super quickly and are obsessed with their yummy wet food. Both boys amazingly learned how to walk well on the leash. When their foster mama walked them alone, they walked side by side in random. When the foster moms dad walked Alex and the foster mom walked Mario, Mario would occasionally walk faster so he could walk next to Alex, and occasionally looked back at his foster mama to make sure she was still following. These boys are the sweetest boys. Alex jumps to hug and kiss his foster mama and Mario presses against his foster mama while wagging his tail. Alex learned to sit in just a few minutes. These boys played and chilled in the backyard in Newport, until they both passed out sleeping next to their foster mama while watching the sunset together. They both are very nice and come running as soon as you call them. Talk about a new lease on life, going from an abandoned homeless encampment to Newport! Apply to adopt at DMDR.org.

Gizmo aka “Gizzy” is an amazing girl! This sweet little girl has been patiently been waiting for her forever person and home. Gizzy’s foster mama said sweet Gizzy has made progress in all aspects of being a fur baby. She knows commands, she goes to work with her foster mama to a high end boutique and is a complete angel and a good girl! She doesn’t bark, or even make a peep when she is at the boutique. Gizzy is improving walking on a leash, and would do best with a yard and a furry friend since she loves to run and play chase. Gizzy is potty trained, crate trained and she knows basic commands. Sweet Nari was saved within minutes of loosing her life at Castiac shelter. We are grateful for the 3 different parties who helped transport this angel (a relay) to get her to her new foster home in SD. Nari lost almost 10 pounds in less then 2 weeks at the shelter so we took her to our vet yesterday to do extensive blood panels and senior blood work. We are wishing for the test results so we can make a special plan for this girl so we can get her healthy and restore her well being. Nari is a complete angel. She was so well mannered at the vet patiently waiting to be seen. This little angle knows sit and paw which makes us believe she was someone’s fur baby at one time. Snow is an absolute star everywhere she goes people fawn over her. She loves to show people how she knows how to sit and show off her belly. She is good with kids but is still learning not to jump. She is a quick learner and eager to please so she is a great candidate to learn any manners or special tricks. She just got the hang of potty training and has very few accidents inside. Snow is looking for a best friend to sit on the couch next to or run on the beach- she loves it all. She needs some guidance on leash manners as she pulls and jumps with excitement over new people but shows great strides in taking commands. Apply today to adopt this angel at DMDR.org

This is what freedom looks like for Octavio after being saved from Stanislaus Animal Services in Modesto, CA. Our amazing foster drove 7 hours to save this sweet boy! Ollie is a playful little guy with great energy and so much love to give! When he’s finished having fun, he loves to cuddle, be held, and soak up all the attention. He’s the perfect mix of playful and affectionate and is ready to find a family of his own.
