Join State Parks interpreters this Saturday, February 14th at the SCSB Historic Cottage for a sweet and simple Valentine’s craft celebrating the places we love most 💚

Decorate a wooden heart with a message, drawing, favorite park memory, or love note to nature, then hang it on our Love for Nature Tree 🌳✨

A $1 suggested donation per heart is appreciated, with all proceeds supporting interpretive and education programs through the San Onofre Parks Foundation 💛

Description: Join us on California Coastal Cleanup Day for a habitat restoration event at the one and only Trestles within San Onofre State Beach! California State Parks has invited us to steward this iconic beach by removing invasive and non-native plant species, planting native plants, and removing trash from the beach. In partnership with CA State Parks and the San Onofre Parks Foundation.

Purpose: These events aim to remove invasive, non-native plant species so the native coastal vegetation can thrive! Help us to maintain this fragile area to best protect our coastline from erosion and serve as a resilient buffer against storms and flooding.

Role: You will help protect our local beaches by identifying and removing invasive plants and trash. Your efforts will play an important role in ensuring the resilience of our coastlines.

Vibe: Active teamwork, outdoorsy and fun!
