Do you know why Green Turtles are called 'Green'? 🐒

It's actually not because of their shell color, but rather the greenish color of their cartilage and fat, which they get from their herbivorous diet of seagrass and algae.

It's the California Sea Lion! 🦭

California Sea Lions have a dog-like face and are very playful and can be seen body surfing. They are the fastest of all seals or sea lions, swimming at top speeds of 25 miles per hour (40 kmph). 🌊

Today for we present the S***m Whale.

S***m Whales can spend up to 10 mins "rafting" at the surface between dives. Due to this, they are more prone to vessel collisions.

Today's animal is the Bowhead Whale.

Bowhead whales are one of the only cetaceans that spend their entire lives in the Arctic. They have the thickest blubber of any whale species! Their insulating blubber can be between 1.4 - 1.6 feet (43 to 48 cm) thick .

Bowhead whales are one of the only cetaceans that spend their entire lives in the Arctic. They have the thickest blubber of any whale species! Their insulating blubber can be between 1.4 - 1.6 feet (43 to 48 cm) thick.

The fin whale is known for the prominent fin which is located on its back and can be found throughout the world's oceans.

These whales were previously primary targets for whalers before the International Whaling Commission banished commercial whaling. However, two large threats to these animals still remain: entanglements and vessel strikes.
