Our next speaker will be Michael Gerzanics! Michael served in the U.S. Air Force as an experimental test pilot and is currently a Captain at Southwest Airlines. He also spearheads the local Civil Air Patrol and shares his unique insights on the frontier of aviation in the renowned Flight International Magazine. He'll be joining us tomorrow, May 8th, to speak about his experience in Civil Air Patrol. The monthly chapter meeting and social will follow.

Uplyft Camp 2021 is a unique virtual career conference, sponsored by Cisco Systems, Inc. and in partnership with Young Aviators (an initiative of the EAA Chapter 20). We aim to unleash students' passions and empower them to achieve their dreams through keynotes, workshops, and networking sessions led by professionals.

When: April 9-10
Who: The conference is curated for high school students, but anyone can attend!

Speakers include chapter members Trenton Sandberg (PM @ Google, Former C-17 Air Force Pilot), Alan Eustace (Former SVP @ Google, Guiness World Record Holder), and other eminent figures including Vinod Khosla (founder of Sun Microsystems), Guy Kawasaki (Chief Evangelist @ Canva), and other executives at Apple, Google, Cisco, Facebook, and Bain Capital Ventures.

Cisco will be announcing some of their exclusive internship programs at the conference. In addition, there will be loads of fun — rock bands, dance parties (Young Aviator student leader Mo Lichaa is our DJ!), poker games, and so much more!

Hello everyone from the Young Aviators Talk Series, EAA Chapter 20, and Young Aviators Build Program.

This weekend January 9, 2021, we begin the new year with a keynote on Learning to Fly by Alexander Mouschovias; EAA Chapter 20 Board Member, at 10:30 am PST. Following this presentation EAA Chapter 20 will hold a chapter meeting followed by a social put together by the Young Aviators Build Program's Student Leaders from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm PST. Hope to see you all there.

Young Eagles is a program that gives youths ages 8 to 17 an opportunity to experience their first flight in a general aviation airplane. Its sole mission is to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation. More than 2 million young people have participated in this program, which is offered free of charge with costs covered by EAA volunteers.

Chapter 20 Young Eagles events are SOLD OUT through 2019. Registration for next year's events will open on January 1, 2020.
