The Imperial Order of St. Eugene of Trebizond

DYNASTIC: These are Orders of authentic origin, having been founded by a Royal Emperor, King or Prince. Many were founded while the Royal Patron was still on the Throne, while many others were founded after the creators were overthrown, but the Bloodline is well documented. pted into these types of Orders, the legitimacy of the Order is not questioned and the right to be called a Knight (and a Sir/Lady [Dame]) is forever the prerogative of the Person so honored. It was founded by the Prince as Head of a Royal Byzantine Family. This Royal Family's Bloodline is well documented. The Founding Prince of the Order of Saint Eugene of Trebizond, His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Eugene II Lascaris-Comnenus was asked to be the King of Greece during the early part of the 20th century. However, due to family, political and other considerations, he graciously declined. This Order is also based upon religious principles and traditions of the Eastern Christian Church. All Dynastic Orders awarded today are as a result of some type of service to the Royal Family or as a gift by the Royal Prince Grand Master. A number of months ago, the Royal Prince Grand Master of the Order of Saint Eugene of Trebizond indicated that he would open our Order to select Americans whom he felt would qualify for Knighthood. He is willing to accept individuals on their own merit. This Order includes both men and women. The Order of Saint Eugene of Trebizond is worldwide. The main strength of the Order is in Europe. There are a number of Knights in South America. There are a few Knights in Australia and New Zealand. All Knights of the Order pledge their loyalty to our Princess Gran Dama H.I. & R.H. la Princesa María Eugenia Isabel Láscaris-Comneno Monroy. Her cousin, H.I. & R.H. Prince Eugene III Theodore Emmanuel Hegemon Láscaris-Comneno is the High Protector and head of the Láscaris-Comneno Imperial Family and is a successful attorney in Madrid, Spain. This Order is a not-for-profit corporation, but your Passage Fees or any other contributions are not tax deductible. The Order operates on a volunteer basis, with no paid staff or other "perks". Knights in good standing are asked to take an active roll in the Order depending upon the Knight's availability, interest and talent.
