Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for a very special evening meeting on Tuesday, November 18th at 6:00 p.m. We’ll be welcoming Kayla "KK" Aulis, a remarkable young Special Olympian who is raising funds to compete internationally as she works toward her next Olympic try-out. Her story is one of determination, courage, and hope, and I know she will inspire us all. We’ve invited other clubs to join us for this event, so please remind your guests to RSVP to Tawnya by November 15th. Dinner for non-members will be $25. We’re also excited to have our Rotary Life students with us that evening—it will be a wonderful opportunity for them to see Rotary in action and to be encouraged by KK’s journey.

I hope you’ll join us for these upcoming opportunities to learn, serve, and celebrate together. Our club continues to make a difference, and I’m so grateful to be part of this family of leaders and friends.

We have a wonderful program lined up this week with Cal Boothby joining us to share insights on different aspects of Rotary life. Cal always brings such depth of knowledge and perspective, and I know we’ll come away inspired and reminded of why Rotary matters. Truly, we have the best members, and I can’t wait to hear what Cal has to say and how it will spark new ideas for our own club.

Calvin “Cal” Boothby currently serves as Executive Assistant Governor for Rotary District 5330. A dedicated Rotarian, Cal brings years of leadership experience and a deep commitment to Rotary’s mission of service above self. He has supported clubs across the Inland Empire in strengthening membership, enhancing service projects, and fostering collaboration among clubs. Cal is known for his engaging presentations and practical insights into how Rotary clubs can thrive in a changing world. This week, he joins us to share perspectives on club vitality, leadership development, and the evolving role of Rotary in our communities.

🎓 Celebrating Service, Leadership & Community Pride! 🎓
Mark your calendars for September 16th — you won’t want to miss this inspiring meeting!

We’re honored to welcome Jaime Rios, who will share the story of the Cardinal Court and the incredible community service these outstanding young leaders are providing. Their dedication is shaping the future of our community, and we get to be part of that journey.

This meeting is extra special — we’ll be presenting our sponsorship check to support the Cardinal Court Scholarship Program. Your presence matters, not just to show our Rotary pride, but to stand together in support of these students’ dreams.

📸 Plus, it’s the perfect moment for a great group photo with the Cardinal Court — let’s make it one to remember!

💙 Unleashing the Power of Rotary! 💙
A huge thank‑you to Rotary District Governor Nyron McLean for visiting the Rotary Club of Downtown San Bernardino and inspiring us to think bigger, act bolder, and work together to create lasting change.

His challenge to “unleash the power of Rotary” reminded us that united, we have the strength to overcome any challenge. And we didn’t waste a moment putting that into action!

In honor of Governor McLean, our club raised $60 for Polio Plus — enough to provide 600 life‑saving vaccinations to children around the world. 🌍💉
This is the power of Rotary in motion: fellowship, service, and impact that reaches far beyond our own community.
