❤️ Wyatt pupdate ❤️

Devore shelter survivor Wyatt is proving to be quite the bugaboo & he ain't ashamed!

He's become quite enamored with his foster brother Jacque (a former Crusty & fellow Devore shelter survivor).

Wyatt is a trippy little dude & it's refreshing seeing his personality shining through.

And a big fat thank you to Jacque for being so patient with Wyatt!

🚨INTAKE IS CLOSED🚨

When we take in a dog the bills don’t end after their initial vet care. There is everyday care until they find their forever home. This includes: unexpected vet care, food, medication, grooming, supplies and much more!

Right now we are at $9610 behind. We need $4892 just to pay off our vet bill, $1400 so October can get her surgery, Stevie needs medication for cushions disease which is $213/mo., Chip is coming back into rescue and needs training, that’s $2800 for two months, on going medication is $305/mo. or more, $600+/mo. in food and the list goes on.

We can’t do this without your help! We need to focus on the dogs we have in our care. We would love to be able to save more senior dogs from being killed, but without regular donations and foster homes we just can’t do it anymore.

❤️ Foster or adopt Humus ❤️

Ever wonder what it feels like having someone always up in your grill?

Humus can more than accommodate you!

He came to us after he was found wandering alone in a Walmart parking lot.

AC held him while they reached out to the people on his microchip but nobody came for him.

Humus is a laid back dude who loves nothing more than being all up in your business whether that's a trip to the bathroom or a walk around the neighborhood.

He wants to be right there with you.

He is looking for a foster (we cannot use short term) OR even better, forever family.

He's dog & cat friendly, cool with chilling on the couch binge watching Netflix or getting out & about to soak up some sunshine.

Humus is 12 years old, 13 lbs, has zero chompies (soft food diet is best), microchipped, vaccinated, neutered.

As a foster:

We take care of food, medical care, etc.

You supply the countless hours of something to stare at.

📍Currently located in the San Bernardino mountain area but can be fostered anywhere in Southern California. We cannot accommodate out of state fosters at this time.

🚗 Adoptions out of state require approved application & home check & adopter must pick up Humus in person - no exceptions.

This little guy was found in Crestline (San Bernardino Mountains) weeks ago. We thought there was a lead on an owner, but no one has come forward.

We know it's a big ask but Devore shelter survivor October (formerly Phyllis ) needs a ride to the hospital to have her much needed hernia repair, spay, & dental.

Bloodwork came back & she's been cleared for surgery!

She will need to be dropped off & picked up same day.

Neegan ( ) and Dak’s ( ) life didn’t just get turned around, it got completely crushed! 💔

Their human mom suddenly passed away in May and now their human dad sadly took his own life from being depressed.

The family surrendered them to Devore Shelter. We all know what will happen to them, especially if they show fear of any kind.

Neegan and Dak were cherished by their parents and their pride and joy. Please don’t let them lose their lives!

We said goodbye to a member of the Crusty Crew 💔

Cliff came to us from the Redlands shelter a little more than two years ago.

Since that time he has been enjoying life with his wonderful foster family.

Cliff marched to his own beat & sometimes that made caring for him challenging but his foster family never gave up & figured out ways to make it work even when it made their everyday lives hard & we are so incredibly thankful to Jessica & Scott for loving him through the difficult times.

Cliffs health was really struggling this week & yesterday we made the difficult decision to let him go with dignity & respect.

Run free now Cliffy.

You definitely made life exciting for everyone who had to carry you up & down stairs & in & out of a car.

You are & will remain deeply loved. ❤️

There's been so much going on & we haven't had the opportunity to post Cliff.

Last week his foster called saying something was not right, Cliff is sick.

We immediately had him go to the vet.

After testing & some hospitalization we learned he had aspiration pneumonia brought on by an even bigger diagnosis.

Megaesophagus.

It was shaky last week but things thankfully started looking up.

Flash forward to now.

He is back to needing further hospitalization.

Costs for last week's hospitalization & Bailey chair totaled $1335 69.

Unfortunately, Cliff may need further hospitalization so this amount is going to quickly rise.

We must raise funds towards medical costs.

Our balance is already high even before all of this & we must get invoices paid off.

If we cannot raise funds, we will have no choice but to close intake to focus on getting the balance down.

Any amount is appreciated & goes toward our balance.

Please send up a prayer, healing vibes for Cliff during this time.

UPDATE: He may have an owner. Will update when we have confirmation.

🚨We normally don’t take a dog into rescue unless we have full sponsorships to cover medical costs.

We don’t want to see this little guy go to Devore Shelter where he could face getting sick or euthanasia.

This chihuahua was found in Crestline several weeks ago , no owner has been found. The people who saved him cannot keep him any longer as their dog does not get along with other dogs.

We would love to bring him into Crusty Crew Rescue so that he doesn’t go to Devore Shelter. In order to do this, we need to raise money for his medical needs. We have a potential foster, but do not have the funds for medical!!
We have an outstanding bill at the vet as it is.

Please help us save this local dog by donating for his medical needs! 🐾
