As we bring the remarkable year of 2025 to a close, it is truly inspiring to reflect on the many memorable moments we shared as the SUMA family. This year strengthened our bonds through a variety of activities, including sports and games, Onam, Diwali SA, and Christmas celebrations. With the unwavering support of our well‑wishers, and many selfless volunteers we were able to successfully execute each event with dedication and enthusiasm.
By carefully considering the valuable feedback received after every program, adopting best practices, and striving to minimize shortcomings, we made significant strides in enhancing the quality of our events. We were also delighted to welcome many new faces into our community, further enriching the SUMA family.
As we enter the quieter early months of 2026, we encourage you to stay tuned for upcoming updates and future events from SUMA. Looking forward for your continuous support to take SUMA far ahead.

The Executive Committee (Nandakumar Thrikkassery Biju Chandroth Sreejith Kalarikkal Jenifer, Sai Mol) extends its heartfelt wishes for a Happy and Prosperous New Year 2026. See you all next year.

It was an amazing display of team work, coordination, support and spirit by a wonderful group of SUMA VOLUNTEERS AND PARTICIPANTS at Diwali SA 2025 YESTERDAY.

POOKALAM/RANGOLI

Starting from 8 am through out the day our rangoli team had a really busy time and was reflected in the outcome. Thanks a bunch to all who came forward to help in various capacities. Heard great feedback on that display of bringing Traditions to Life.. Blending the beauties of flowers with different colors is a unique one we Keralites could be PROUD of.The miniatures with its highlights at the front was something unique as well. Meera Gopinathan please do the honor of recognizing all who helped with this effort. This team did an amazing work.

RIVER BARGE

We did our best with available resources, but the wind was out of control that blew away our 4 hours of efforts in under 10 mins. But that didn't have any impact on our spirit and energy.. We proudly represented God's own country. Thanks to Anup Kutty, Rajeev and Manoj for helping with the decor works.. And thanks to all river barge participants Bijay, Advaith, Arun, Naren, Aaradhana, Anshika, Anaika, Christa, Anahita, Juan and Tony, for bringing that color and charm of kerala's own art forms to the lights of San Antonio. Special thanks to Asha Joseph John for her help with all those wonderful costumes and makeup efforts..

STATE FOLK DANCE :

Kavitha Rejith (please do the honor of recognizing all participants) and her team brought goosebumps with an electrifying and energetic performance depicting Theyyam in a unique way. It was wonderful to listen to and watch that live (glad that I was able to watch live 😍 atleast their second stage).. Thanks and Kudos to Kavitha and team for that great performance in two stages.

Thanks to Team DiwaliSA and Anuja San Antonio (Anuja SA) for bringing the community together once again and providing these opportunities to display all states' respective traditions and arts.

1. Rangoli display - 4:30pm to midnight , Civic Park at Hemisphere
2. River parade 6pm , Arneson River Theatre

Kerala folk dance performance at the following 2 stages

1. Plaza Mexico stage - 5.50 pm
2. Civic park stage - 6.45 pm

There have been some changes made to the footprint of Diwali SA this year. Take a close look at this map and get familiar with it before you head out to the event on Saturday, November 1!
