At Morgan’s Inclusion Institute, we are committed to creating welcoming, inclusive, and accessible experiences for everyone, and we want to hear from you.

We are currently seeking input from people with disabilities, as well as family members, caregivers, and support professionals, to participate in a short survey about salon and personal care services, including haircuts and styling, facials, manicures, and more.

The purpose of this survey is to better understand the needs, preferences, and experiences of people with disabilities when engaging with salon and personal care services. Your feedback will help identify barriers and opportunities, and inform the creation of more accessible, inclusive, and dignity-centered environments.

Meet Alex - A Morgan's Salon Story

When Alex first came to Morgan’s Salon on May 9, 2024, haircuts were something his family had learned to carefully navigate at home. His grandma was the only person he trusted to cut his hair, and even then, the process could be difficult. Using just a comb and a razor, they did the best they could to help him feel comfortable while still keeping his hair manageable.

At his very first appointment, we took things slow and followed Alex’s lead. By the end of the appointment, Alex proudly left with a fun faux hawk and a huge accomplishment behind him.

Since then, Alex and his family have remained consistent with his appointments, coming in monthly and continuing to build trust and confidence with each visit. He still gets a little ticklish around the neck area and sometimes can’t help but giggle during that part of the haircut, but those moments have become part of Alex’s personality in the salon and always make everyone smile.

Watching Alex grow in confidence over the last year has been such a special journey for everyone at Morgan's Salon. His story is such a beautiful reminder that with patience, consistency, trust, and support, even the smallest steps can turn into incredible progress over time. Check out his progress over time!
