Most predators don’t start with obvious danger signs.

They start with small secrets, mutual connections, and attempts to pull kids away from trusted adults.

Teach your kids these 3 red flags:
🚩 “Let’s keep this a secret.”
🚩 “I know someone from your friends list.”
🚩 “Don’t tell your parents.”

Digital parenting isn’t just about monitoring screens. It’s about building enough trust and communication that our kids come to us when something online feels wrong.

Restrictions matter. But relationships matter more.

Parents, this is a beautiful reminder!

Our kids were never meant to follow identical paths. They’re growing, learning, struggling, and becoming who God created them to be in their own unique way.

San Antonio Spurs player Carter Bryant was recorded by a fan while in a public bathroom during Game 2 in Oklahoma City. The video went viral, and the backlash was loud for good reason.

This is exactly why our “No Bedroom / No Bathroom” Rule isn’t outdated — it’s more important than ever.

If you’ve been to a nextTalk event, listened to our podcast, or read Mandy’s books, you know this is one of our non-negotiable rules for children. Why? Because it teaches our kids to respect privacy and healthy boundaries. It helps them understand consent and dignity in everyday spaces.

📲With a camera in every pocket, traditional safe spaces like bathrooms and locker rooms are no longer truly private. We can't tell you how many families we've helped where kids have been filmed in these spaces without consent. Athletic locker rooms are very dangerous! We must teach our kids (and model it ourselves) that we simply don’t record in these spaces. It’s not about distrust.

It’s about protecting dignity, privacy, and respect in a world that’s quickly losing both.

➡️ Parents, use this as an opportunity to talk with your kids about not recording in bathrooms or locker rooms.

Real talk: parenting in the digital age feels like trying to build a plane while it’s already mid-air. ✈️📱

We’ve all been there—the panic when your child asks a question they learned from the school lunch table, or the urge to go “full warden” and lock every device in a drawer. But Mandy Majors, founder of nextTalk, says there’s a better way. The secret? Switching from protection to preparation. 🛡️➡️🧠

Instead of just researching the best Wi-Fi routers, Mandy teaches us how to build a "relationship-first" connection so that when things get weird online (and they will), you are the first person your child runs to—not the last.

Mandy’s Top Debug Tips:
🛑 Turn off "Crazy Parent Mode": If we overreact, they stop sharing. A report is a parenting win!
🤝 The Power of the Reset: It’s never too late to say, "I messed up, let’s navigate this together."
🚫 The "Golden Rule": No screens in bedrooms or bathrooms. Period.

Apologizing to your kids doesn’t weaken your authority — it strengthens your relationship with them.

Awards or no awards, our kids need the same thing from us: encouragement, love, and reminders that their worth isn’t tied to recognition.

Some kids shine publicly. Others grow quietly. Both matter deeply.

Let’s raise kids who know their value goes far beyond a trophy, title, or applause.
