Meet Heather, who has dedicated 30 years to The Arc of San Antonio! Throughout her time with The Arc, she has had the privilege of working with incredible families and seeing firsthand the organization’s commitment to supporting people with disabilities and their loved ones.

One of Heather’s favorite parts of her work is helping families who feel overwhelmed find resources, create a plan and gain a sense of direction. Knowing she has helped a family find support, navigate a process or take the next step is what makes her work so rewarding.

A huge thank you to Jefferson Bank and their amazing volunteers for spending time with us at our PSC location! We appreciate their generosity and hard work in washing and deep-cleaning our three buses and vans. These vehicles play an essential role in helping our participants explore the community, enjoy outings, and stay connected. After all their hard work, the volunteers even had some fun cheering on The Arc at a game of Arc Basketball at PSC!

We’re excited about this next session by the Altitude Inclusion Program in partnership with Southwest Airlines! This session will take place on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

During this guided experience, participants will walk through the full airport process—check-in, TSA screening, and boarding—so they feel confident and prepared for future travel.

Every milestone matters. Every voice deserves to be heard.

One of the most meaningful parts of our work at The Arc of San Antonio is seeing individuals grow, find their voice, and discover new ways to express themselves.

This family shared how much their loved one has grown since coming to The Arc. From communicating through gestures and having others guess what he needed, to expressing himself and communicating more confidently. This is what makes The Arc so special.
