Sponsorship and Volunteer Opportunities for Supporting Formerly Incarcerated Individuals

We are seeking sponsorships to support residents transitioning from incarceration for a period of 1 to 2 months. Please contact us to discuss this opportunity further.

Some residents arrive at TLT HOPE with limited resources, lacking family support or financial stability. As we are not state-funded, residents are required to pay for their stay to cover essential housing and operational costs.

Our residents typically require 2-4 months to secure employment and stabilize their lives. However, during this period, they often face challenges in meeting basic needs, which can result in premature relocation.

Due to our limited capacity, we must refer residents to external agencies for specialized support. Nevertheless, with sponsorship support, we can provide more comprehensive services.

If you are inspired to sponsor a resident for at least one year, we appreciate your contribution.
We also invite volunteers to assist with transporting residents to mandatory appointments and job interviews during their free time.

As a small team, we rely on volunteers who share our passion to increase our impact. To learn more about volunteering, please visit www.tlthope.org or call 210.994.6494.

TLT HOPE is a transitional home for the formerly incarcerated. TLT HOPE will transform the lives of the formerly incarcerated by providing temporary housing, transportation to public offices for food assistance, identification for employment and driving, job leads to 2nd chance employment.

Every cycle of guys bring different personalities It's a blessing to see each of them work out their plan to better themselves. We are happy to be doing what the Lord directed us to do. If it's one or many, we will move at God's pace to help change one life at a time.

He said to his disciples, โ€œThe harvest is great, but the workers are few. Matthew 9:37 NLT.

We just got word that our dear sister Linda Dressler passed away on the 8th of July early in the morning hours. Linda called us 2 weeks ago to pray as she often did. I had no idea that this was her time to go. Mrs. Linda Dressler was a loving supporter of TLT Hope. She heard of TLT HOPE through Alamo Homes. Once she learned of what we did, she and her husband decided to donate her home to our organization. The home became our first education building. We are so grateful to have known and experienced her friendship. She was so kind and sweet. Over 20 years ago she actually worked to improve the lives of the formerly incarcerated in Virginia. Thanks Linda for the love you gave and showed to our organization and residents. We love you and you will be missed. You're okay now, resting in the arms of Jesus. God bless Chuck as he grieves your passing.

Good morning,

We want to update you on this project. There's a company that stated that they can help with the concrete slab that the water Tower will need to rest on. That's a big start!! We are still in need of the Water Tower and Sprinkler system for 2 mobile homes/dorms. We welcome your help. We are in constant prayer for this miracle to take place.

TLT Hope urgently requires assistance in installing a water sprinkler system at both dormitories and a water tank on our property, crucial for fire safety as we expand further. Since Bexar County does not provide fire hydrants, establishing our own water supply is essential. Failure to address this requirement will compromise our ability to provide residence for formerly incarcerated individuals on parole. Our nonprofit organization's budget is currently insufficient to cover this substantial expense. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we have dedicated ourselves to supporting approximately 60 men, providing them with a second chance. We kindly request consideration for assisting us in meeting this essential need or referring us to someone who can. Please contact John or Tiffany Mickel at 210.994.6494 or email [email protected]. You can also visit our website at www.tlthope.org. We appreciate your thoughtful consideration.

Good morning,
We want to update you on this project. So far we have a company that wants to help with the concrete slab portion that the water tower needs to be on. That's a great start! We are constantly seeking the Lord through prayer for this miracle. We still need the water tower and water sprinkler system for our dorms.

Congratulations to Mr. Martinez on accomplishing his goals of reconnecting with his siblings and obtaining his driver's license. His passion for horse care has led to new opportunities, and his dedication to TLT HOPE has been outstanding. At 73, he has the energy of a teenager and takes the initiative to keep the property in top shape.
