Did You Know? 🩸
Hemorrhage/Bleeding-out is the leading cause of preventable death after injury. A person can lose their life in as little as 2-5 minutes without intervention. For this reason, bystanders must act quickly before professional help arrives. Bystanders are the true first responders, yet most don't actually know how to help...
That's why we launched Project BloodLine, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit initiative dedicated to bringing Stop the Bleed® training to underserved and Spanish-speaking communities.
Our mission? To empower everyday people with the skills to save lives! We plan on breaking down language barriers and ensuring access for all communities.
To help launch this initiative, we partnered with Among the Broken, who were generous enough to help fund operations for an entire year!! This will expand our scope of operation dramatically and soon we will actively be reaching out to businesses and establishments for Stop the Bleed® training services!
For the researchers out there, you would be happy to find out that we have a PhD on our board and that we plan to include anonymous surveys before and after trainings to study how participants from underserved communities respond and perceive the importance of training compared to the general population. After analyzing the data, my goal is to publish my findings and contribute to Stop the Bleed research and study the gaps in emergency preparedness.
This is just the beginning. Help us give communities the tools to act in these critical moments and get certified in Stop the Bleed®.
