“My times are in your hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors!” - Psalm‬ ‭31‬:‭15‬ ‭

Timing Is Critical

Life is too short for you to live striving to force doors of opportunity to open, trying to convince someone to like you and working hard to win their approval, straining to manipulate a situation so you can win the upper hand. That’s going to wear you out and waste your time. David recognized that his times were in God’s hands. He was saying, “I’m not going to be frustrated by delays, or sour when it’s not working out the way I want, or discouraged because I’m not as far along as I thought I’d be. My God is in control.”

Timing is critical. You have to realize that you can do the right thing, but if it’s not the right time, it won’t work out. When it’s not the right time, no matter how hard you try, the door is not going to open.

When you don’t feel at peace about it, when there is a sense of unrest in your spirit, you can’t make the wrong time into the right time. You have to come back to a place of peace and rest in God’s hands.

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You that You alone are my God and You know best when it comes to the things I want and ask You for. Thank You that You are directing my steps, and my times are in Your hands. Help me to be sensitive in my spirit to Your timing and stay in peace rather than strive and strain.
In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.”

“So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.” - 1 Peter 1:13

Eviction Notices

Imagine that your mind is a four-bedroom house, with occupants in each bedroom. One bedroom has fear living in it. It moved in during that difficult season when so much went wrong. Another room has guilt that’s been staying there since you made that mistake. Another room has doubt living there. Now you’re so down on yourself. Inferiority settled in the last room when you were a child, when people made you feel less-than and said you would never do anything significant. What would happen if you evicted those wrong tenants?

How much higher could you go if you evicted the thoughts telling you that you’ll never get well, never break the addiction, never see your family restored? Those are lies that have no right to stay.

How much more will you accomplish if you evict the thoughts of unworthiness, thinking you don’t deserve to be blessed?

What could you become if you evict the not-qualified thoughts, the not-talented-enough thoughts?

Your mind is valuable real estate. Get those thoughts out and replace them with what God says about you.

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You that I can let the message of Jesus and what You say about me fill all the rooms of my life. Thank You that all the negative thoughts that have held me back are evicted by the truths in Your Word. I say to every fear and doubt that there is no vacancy. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.”

Finding Peace in the Waiting

If we’re honest, most of us struggle with waiting.

When we’re excited about something God has promised, we want to fast forward through the process and get straight to the blessing. We count down the days, watch the clock, and wonder why things aren’t happening as quickly as we’d like. As humans, we naturally want to control time. We want answers now, breakthroughs now, and fulfilled promises now.

But God doesn’t work according to our timetable.

The truth is that God’s timing is always right, even when it doesn’t feel right to us. What seems like a delay is often God preparing us for what He’s preparing for us.

There is something valuable to be learned in the waiting.

Waiting teaches us patience. Patience teaches us trust. And trust deepens our relationship with God. In the seasons where nothing seems to be happening, God is often doing His greatest work beneath the surface. He is shaping our character, strengthening our faith, and teaching us to depend on Him rather than our own understanding.

If every prayer were answered immediately, we might never learn to trust God’s heart when we can’t see His hand.

Instead of viewing waiting as wasted time, we can see it as growing time. Every season of waiting has purpose. Every delay has a lesson. Every unanswered question is an opportunity to draw closer to the One who holds our future.

So if you find yourself waiting today, don’t rush the process. Don’t fight the season. Rest in the peace that comes from knowing God is never late.

His timing is perfect.

And when the time is right, what He has promised will come to pass.

Prayer:
Lord, help me trust Your timing even when I don’t understand it. Teach me patience in the waiting and give me peace when I want to rush ahead. Help me remember that You are working, even when I cannot see it. Grow my faith, strengthen my trust, and remind me that Your plans are always better than my own. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.” - Proverbs 12:1

“The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility.” - Proverbs 15:33

Be humble. Be teachable.

Would you rather be right or would you rather be more like Christ?

One of the greatest dangers in our walk with God is believing we’ve arrived. The moment we think we know enough, we’ve stopped growing. But God wants to take us higher, He wants to level us up more and more.

A teachable spirit is a sign of spiritual maturity, while pride often disguises itself as confidence.

Proverbs 12:1 gives a blatant yet strong warning. If we really desire wisdom, we must be willing to receive instruction and correction. Nobody enjoys being rebuked or corrected, but God often uses correction to refine us, protect us, and shape us into who He has called us to be.

A wise person doesn’t run from correction, instead they learn from it.

Proverbs 15:33 reminds us that humility comes before honor. We often pray for promotion, influence, and greater responsibility, but God first looks for humility. Why? Because humility keeps our hearts dependent on Him.

A humble person understands that there is always more to learn and more room to grow. Jesus Himself modeled this. Though He was the Son of God, He humbled Himself and remained obedient to the Father.

If Christ walked in humility, how much more should we?

Today, ask God to search your heart. Are there areas where pride has made you resistant to correction? To changing? Are you willing to receive instruction from God’s Word, spiritual leaders, and mature believers?

A teachable heart invites growth, wisdom, and transformation.

Prayer for today:
Lord, keep my heart humble and teachable. Help me receive correction with grace and instruction with gratitude. Remove pride and ego from my life and give me a hunger to grow in wisdom. Teach me to listen, learn, and follow Your leading. May my life reflect the humility of Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.” — 1 John 2:16

Guarding Your Heart

The enemy doesn’t always tempt us with obvious sin. Often, he works through desires that seem harmless at first. John narrows worldly temptations into three categories: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.

The lust of the flesh says, “Do what feels good.”

The lust of the eyes says, “I need what I see.”

The pride of life says, “Look at me and what I’ve accomplished.”

These temptations appeal to our old nature, but they do not reflect the heart of God. The more we pursue temporary pleasures, possessions, and personal glory, the less satisfied we become. Only God can truly fill the deepest needs of our hearts.

The good news is that the Holy Spirit empowers us to overcome these temptations. When we keep our eyes on Jesus, our desires begin to change. We start seeking God’s will above our own and finding our identity in Him rather than in what we have or what others think of us.

Today, ask the Lord to reveal any area where the world has gained too much influence in your heart. Surrender it to Him and allow His Spirit to reshape your desires.

Prayer:
Father, help me recognize the things that compete for my affection and attention. Guard my heart from the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Let my greatest desire be to know You, love You, and glorify You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” - Romans 8:26 (NIV)

When You Don’t Have the Words

There are moments in life when the weight of what we’re carrying leaves us speechless. The burden is too heavy, the pain too deep, or the situation too confusing to even know what to pray.

The good news is that God never expected us to carry those moments alone.

Romans 8:26 reminds us that the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. When we don’t have the words, He does.

When our prayers are reduced to tears, sighs, or silence, the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf before the Father.

What a comforting truth: God understands the prayers we cannot express. He sees the heart behind every tear and hears the cries that never make it past our lips.

If you’re facing something today that feels overwhelming, don’t let the lack of words keep you from God. Simply come to Him. Sit in His presence. Trust that the Holy Spirit is already praying for you according to God’s perfect will.

Prayer:
Father, thank You that I don’t have to have all the answers or the perfect words. When I am weak, confused, or hurting, thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit to help me. Teach me to rest in Your presence and trust that You are working even when I don’t know what to pray. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” - Proverbs 16:3

It’s easy to ask God to bless our plans after we’ve already decided what we want to do. But Proverbs 16:3 challenges us to do the opposite - to place our plans, dreams, decisions, and even our daily tasks into God’s hands first.

To commit something to the Lord means to surrender it completely, trusting that His wisdom is greater than our own.

When we do, God aligns our hearts with His will, guides our steps, and establishes what He desires for our lives.

Today, don’t just ask God to bless your plans. Give Him the plans themselves.

Trust Him with the outcome, knowing that His way is always better.

Prayer:
Lord, I commit my plans, dreams, and decisions to You. Lead me according to Your will and establish the path You have prepared for me. Help me trust You completely, even when I cannot see the whole picture. In Jesus’ name, amen. ❤️🔥
