Heaven's 27 Foundation The official fund in memory of the 27 girls who lost their lives at Camp Mystic in the Kerr County floods on July 4, 2025.

Founded by their families and hosted at the San Antonio Area Foundation.

One year ago,
we woke to an ordinary day,
never knowing it would become
the day that split our lives in two.

We never knew to fear
a world without you.
How could we?
There was no language for a nightmare
we never imagined could exist.

We grieve the little girl we held,
the laughter that filled every room,
the dreams you carried so effortlessly.

We grieve the woman you would have become,
the life you were meant to live,
the birthdays, milestones, adventures,
and quiet moments we will never get to share.

We ache for one more hug,
one more kiss goodnight,
one more chance to hear your voice
call us Mom and Dad.

A year has passed,
but time has not made sense of this.
It has only taught us
what it means to love someone
whose absence is immeasurable.

We will never understand why.
We will never stop missing you.
And we will never be whole again.

Until the day we hold you in Heaven,
we will carry your love,
your light,
and the beautiful pieces of you
that remain in every beat of our hearts.

Today, our first Father’s Day without you , hurts beyond measure. The weight of your absence is beyond anything we knew our souls could withstand .

You were taken far too early — before all the birthdays, snuggles, roommates, fiancées, and eye rolls. We had so much more life to live together, tips and tricks to teach you. But in the time we had, you taught us. You taught us what pure, uncomplicated love feels like; love that asks for nothing back. A special love that is reserved for a father and daughter.

We love you, our precious girls. We miss you each day, especially today. You were the gift of a lifetime, and being yours will always be the joy of our lives.

Today marks eleven months without our beautiful girls. We look for their presence, their signs, everywhere we go. While we can no longer hold them in our arms, we carry them forward through action—lifting others as they so naturally did in their short lives.
