We do things a little out of the norm around here, and this week was no exception.
A potential new student reached out to sign up for DJ classes, and we were excited to get started. Then he shared that he is blind. We paused, listened, and knew this was an opportunity to create something even more meaningful.
While we’ve proudly offered programs for people of all abilities, developing a DJ experience specifically for blind and visually impaired students was new territory for us. So we put on our DJ thinking caps, got creative, and started building a class designed around listening, rhythm, touch, and hands-on learning.
With a class in development and ready to test, we reached out to the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI) to explore the possibility of bringing DJ classes to their students. TSBVI was incredibly welcoming and invited us to participate in their annual White Cane Day, alongside programs and vendors sharing resources and services with the community.
So we headed to Austin for an amazing day!
We had the honor of working with inspiring students, meeting incredible educators and caregivers, and sharing the joy of DJing with so many people. This experience was truly next level for our team.

We’re excited to continue building this connection and bring accessible DJ classes to the blind and visually impaired community in both Austin and San Antonio.
