ICE OUT OF SATX!!!✊🏽🗳️🪧🇲🇽We are grateful to all the organizers and community members for coordinating such a Beautiful day of Collective Mobilization this weekend! 10.3.2026

The commUNITY gathered to push back against the racist policies & illegal practices of the Trump administration that will fund & empower ICE to continue terrorizing our families and neighbors. Residents marched in solidarity with our undocumented brothers & sisters to push back against the warehouse that was purchased by ICE to be used as a new Detention facility (Concentration Camp) on the Eastside of San Antonio, TX.

The community showed that we will not accept or allow for these white supremacist ideologies to fund projects targeting our communities. We will not allow mass deportation concentration camps to be established in San Antonio or anywhere else.

TODAY is the Last day to Register 2 Vote! Need help? Get with the good folks who will get you signed up asap. (They registered us to officially be Bexar County voters!) Our Voices are our Weapon and our Vote is a tool we must all utilize.

VOTE. THEN WHAT?
Join us this Saturday, October 10th as we host a "Join the Team" event in Southtown from 12-3pm. Let's continue collaborating, mobilizing and organizing after the marches and after the polls.

FREEdom Writing Love with our Familia in Bryan, TX! 🌲 ✌🏽📓 Thank you to all that came out to create community in a beautiful day of plática & storytelling. We were able to make space to listen to the different stories, experiences & perspectives from our brothers & sisters living in Brazos county. Stories that have been passed down generations, and others that are still being written.✍🏾📖

No matter what the State and current administration attempts to do to ban/censor our narratives and education, we remind ourselves that our voices and stories can never be silenced or erased. Our stories and voices are our weapon.
We are Reminded of the Power of our Writing!🫀

Many thanks to for bringing a CRAFT Cultura event to Bryan, TX and for hosting us in their space. We will hit the road any day to help build community with our Familia! 🛣️🌲

As we hit the road to bring CRAFT Cultura's FREEEdom Writing workshop to Bryan, TX, we look back at the blog shared by Joseph Lopez sharing his experience attending our first writing event back in February at Basila Frocks on the Westside of San Antonio.

"I learned about how Craft Cultura was founded in the RGV region in south Texas and that over the last year they had moved to San Antonio and began fostering connections with like minded spaces and that this was their first community event in San Antonio.

I cannot thank everyone who helped put the event on enough. It inspired me so much that I plan to host a similar event in Bryan, TX in the coming months. Hopefully collaborating with Craft Cultura and some local groups to facilitate the voices of the community and build out people’s voices in a time when it is desperately needed."

FREEdom Writing!✍🏽🌴thank you to all that attended our first event of the year. A beautiful day of building commUNITY through the art of storytelling.

We are beyond grateful to have shared the day with folks from diverse backgrounds in San Antonio to dedicate time to write our experiences and share with one another. Once again, you all reminded us the power in writing, in reclaiming our narratives, supporting each other and using our words as a tool for social justice.🇲🇽🇵🇷🇻🇪🇨🇴🇵🇸

Many thanks to Dr. Marco Cervantes aka for facilitating this writing gathering. We're grateful to have collaborated with Mexstep throughout the years in the RGV in our first years as an org. It was a full circle moment having him facilitate our first event in San Antonio as we now attempt to bring a new social justice platform to the 210.

We are beyond grateful to and Miss Janie Villarreal McClinche for believing in our vision and allowing us to host our first event at their beautiful new cultural center on the Westside.

Thank you to Victor from .gallery.art for opening his art gallery to create a space that nurtures creative expression and connection with others.

Last but not least, thank you to for creating our amazing flyer for the event! We couldn't have asked for a better graphic.✊🏽✏️🎨

Events like these may be hosted by us, but it's the community that makes it possible.

STAY TUNED FOR UPCOMING EVENTS IN 2026. 🗓️
