Casa de la Cultura instructor highlight! Today we'd like to spotlight Eric Lugo, our instructor for our series "Entre Hilos", a four-week beginner sewing program designed to make sewing approachable, creative and accessible for all. Eric is the founder of Stitch Lab ATX where he continues to expand access to sewing education and strengthen Austin's creative community one stitch at a time!

Join the Conjunto Heritage Taller for an unforgettable evening as we celebrate the culmination of our Summer Youth & Young Adult Accordion Camp!

For the past two weeks, our camp students have been learning from one of the greatest ambassadors of Conjunto music, Eva Ybarra, “La Reina del Acordeón.” Through her passion, mentorship, and extraordinary talent, these young musicians have grown tremendously and are ready to take the stage!

Come witness the next generation of Conjunto musicians as they proudly showcase everything they’ve learned. There is nothing more inspiring than seeing our youth carry forward the music and traditions that mean so much to our community.

We are also incredibly grateful to District 1 Councilwoman Sukh Kaur for taking the time to visit our camp, encourage our students, and support the preservation of our rich cultural heritage through the arts.

Bring your familia, invite your friends, don’t forget your dancing chanclas and let’s give these amazing students the audience they deserve! Let’s fill the Dakota with love, applause, and the unmistakable sound of the accordion as we celebrate our future together.

We'll be joining Los Texmaniacs in NM and El Paso, Los Lonely Boys on the East Coast and El Paso, Del Castillo in Houston for some shows over the next couple of months and we'll have some on our own in some new places and of course in the ones we love playing! Come join us--spread the word--let's fill these up!!!
