🎉 Exciting News, Wood Community! 🎉
We are thrilled to announce that the Texas PTA Reflections Art Program is back! A huge thank you to our wonderful art teacher, Ms. Turner, for facilitating this amazing opportunity for our students. 🎨✨
The theme for this year is "What My Culture Means to Me."
Students who have a family member enrolled in the PTA are eligible to submit an entry. We encourage students to express their creativity across various categories, including:
🎨 Physical/Visual Art
💃 Dance Choreography
🎶 Original Music Composition
📝 Literature, Film, Photography, and more!
🗓️ Signup Deadline: October 30, 2026

We hope everyone is settling nicely into the rhythm of the new school year and adjusting well to the back-to-school routine!
Here are a few important updates and reminders for you this week:
* Free Breakfast for All Students: Start the day off right! Breakfast is free for every student every morning, so be sure your Wrangler takes advantage of it.
* School Picture Day: Mark your calendars for next Friday, August 28th! Please ask your student for the order envelope coming home with them so you're ready for picture day.
* Yearbook Orders: Check out the attached flyer to order your copy early and guarantee your student gets one!
* Library Advisory Committee: Our school library is looking for parent and community committee members. If you'd like to get involved, simply scan the QR code on the flyer below to join!
