Through the Arcadia Recovery Collaboration, our team helps restore homes after disasters, and our volunteer Project Managers are the real engine behind the impact.

In-kind donations drive the work of the Arcadia Recovery Collaboration. Think things like furniture ๐Ÿช‘, decor ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ, kitchen supplies ๐Ÿฅ˜, and more, donated by manufacturers and retailers. It adds up, so we need ample space to store it all so we can receive, track, and stage items as they are selected and prepared for delivery. For the past year, we've operated this system from three generously donated warehouse spaces, but as household needs grow, so does our need for more storage. ๐Ÿ“ฆ

Thankfully, our friends at The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country awarded a grant that let us move everything into one place ๐Ÿ™Œ. In our new 20,000+ square-foot building, our process will be streamlined, and we'll be able to help more families more efficiently and effectively. We're so grateful for partners like the Community Foundation, and we're excited to work alongside them to serve flood-affected families as they return home!

The City of San Antonio is preserving the Climate Adaptation Manager position! This is a BIG win for Climate Ready Neighborhoods!

This happened because District 1, District 5, and District 6 council members spoke up, other city leaders backed this work, and youโ€”our neighbors, PODs, and partnersโ€”added your voices too. ๐Ÿ™Œ

For the past two years, weโ€™ve been so blessed to work alongside Rebecca LaBelle as the Program Manager of Good Acres. Rebecca is sadly leaving The Impact Guild team as her family embarks on a new chapter that will take them away from San Antonio for now. Her gentle leadership and passion for empowering organizations and strengthening our neighborhoods have sustained the program and grown communities in incredibly powerful ways. We will miss her greatly!

With Rebeccaโ€™s departure, our longtime advocate, board member, and friend Ramiro Gonzales will be at the helm of Good Acres. His leadership has been an integral part of shaping this work since the beginning. We are excited to have his expertise and vision in this next chapter!

๐‘ฐ๐’•'๐’” ๐’•๐’Š๐’Ž๐’† ๐’•๐’ ๐’”๐’‘๐’†๐’‚๐’Œ ๐’–๐’‘!

The City of San Antonio is currently considering its budget for FY2027, which includes proposed cuts to the City of San Antonio Department of Resilience and Sustainability and its funding for resilience, sustainability, and energy-efficiency work, including our Climate Ready Neighborhoods program.

The latest round of storms was a reminder of exactly why this work matters. When the power goes out across tens of thousands of homes, it's neighbors checking on neighborsโ€”alongside city and utility crewsโ€”that gets communities through it. That's what Climate Ready Neighborhoods is built for: connecting neighborhood-level readiness to citywide resources, so no one is on their own when the lights go out.

We're advocating for the City to preserve current positions and maintain funding for this work, and we invite you to add your voice ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ
