They say it’s hard to say goodbye. But all good things must come to a fabulous, sober, and slightly chaotic end.
Before we officially call wrap on SARU 2026, there are a few people who deserve their flowers. And by “a few,” we mean all of you. If you supported SARU over the last year—whether you gave us your time, your sweat, your brawn, or opened your billfolds, coin purses, and crypto wallets—you were every bit a part of what we accomplished as our committee members. And just so there’s no confusion for the rumor mill: we accomplished a lot. SARU 2026 was a success.
So, for every hour volunteered, every favor called in, every encouraging word, every clap on the back, and every gloriously tax-deductible dollar: thank you. We couldn’t have done it without you. (We probably tried, honestly, but if you want to go far go with others, right?)
Now, as the SARU 2026 committee prepares to ride off into the sunset—probably still finding glitter in places glitter has no business being—don’t mistake an ending for the ending. Because right behind us, a new cast is already assembling: SARU 2027.
New theme. New committee. New opportunities to be of service. And, if history has taught us anything, at least a little new drama. The faces may change. The theme certainly will. But SARU?
SARU is forever.
