Rangel is a businessman and managing partner of Adco Master Builders and has been involved in the Commercial Construction industry for Northeast ISD as well as Northside ISD for many years. He also owns a Design Business since receiving his education in Design of the Environment (Architecture) in Faculty of Arts & Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania. His community involvement is very exte
nsive to list, but includes serving on several City of San Antonio boards, committees and commissions such as SAWS: Capital Improvements Advisory Committee and trustee of the South Texas Business Fund. His service includes community church boards and is a former president of his own home owner association Eckhert Crossing Homeowner Association. Texas Governor Abbott appointed him to the Texas Real Estate Committee – TREC in 2016. Fred has lived in 2 of the 3 school districts represented by HD 125. He graduated from Edgewood ISD (at the time the 2nd poorest District in the country) and his daughter attended and graduated from Northside ISD. Fred and his wife of 44 years have been lifelong residents of a district that represents one of the poorest, to one of the largest ISDs in the State of Texas. From this perspective Fred uniquely understands the impact of funding public education unfairly and inefficiently while responding to the challenge of reforming an antiquated property tax system. Whether education or property tax reform, Rangel plans to work closely with Governor Greg Abbott and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick to implement common sense policies that will provide benefit and relief to all residents of House District 125.
