Camp Verde, TX

The day started out a little wet but once we got into the Texas Hill Country North of San Antonio the sun came out strong. We had a leisurely 65 mile ride up through the towns of Bandera and Medina before we rode into the camel outpost that is Camp Verde. The General Store / Post Office and Restaurant are all in the same building and at least one of them has been there since 1857! We had lunch in the Restaurant and it was delicious! We stuffed ourselves for an hour and then went shopping in the General Store. We had a great ride and the weather held out for most of the group to get home dry but not all! Till next ride, be safe!

This afternoon we turned out to support the San Antonio Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club at their Motorcycle Party to raise money for their Charity Scholarship Fund. Our very own Sugarbear competed in the "Slow Roll" contest but he lost! 😬 Sugarbear also competed in the best bike soundsystem contest but he lost that one too! 😬 We did walk away winners though for having the most Chapter Members present at the event! 😁
The weather was hot but everyone had a good time! Sugarbear was a champ and a good sport and we still love him!
