The Transportation Department is pleased to share that construction to upgrade the existing bicycle lanes in your neighborhood to buffered bike lanes will begin on Monday, July 6, 2026 and be completed in October 2026.

Project Scope
The project is located along Mission Road, from Roosevelt Ave north of IH10 in the northernmost limits to Roosevelt Avenue in the southernmost limits near Mission San Jose. The project will upgrade the existing bike lanes to buffered bike lanes by adding a painted separation between the bike lanes and vehicle travel lanes. In the section near Mission Concepción, the buffered bike lanes will include additional protection from traffic lanes using small concrete barriers and bollards. The addition of the buffer will be accomplished by narrowing existing travel lanes; the project will not remove any existing vehicle travel lanes.

Traffic Impacts
Drivers should expect temporary detours at four locations along Mission Road during construction. Each detour will be in place only during construction hours and is expected to last no more than two to three days.

Between E. Pyron Ave and E. Huff Ave
Between E. Huff Ave and Pacheco Dr
Between Isabel St and Felisa St
Between Theo Pkwy and Parkview Dr

🚨 ATTENTION ROOSEVELT PARK NEIGHBORS 🚨

Big changes could be coming to the neighborhood, and we need your input!

VP Racing Fuels is under contract to purchase the former Freetail Brewery building at 2000 S. Presa. They are requesting a major zoning change from C2 to C3.

“Repurpose the existing building into a mixed-use facility that includes a distillery, warehousing, t-shirt screen printing/embroidery, and enclosed engine dynamometer test cells. We will also explore converting distillery by-products into renewable fuels that can be evaluated in purpose-built, sound-mitigated test rooms.”

Because rezoning is a serious decision with lasting implications for our community’s safety, traffic, and noise, the RPNA Board wants to ensure everyone has a seat at the table. No official site plans or binding conditions have been legally locked in yet; which means your voice matters right now.

Dear Roosevelt Park Neighbors,

This is an official notice to inform residents of an upcoming public hearing regarding a proposed zoning change within our neighborhood boundaries.

The Application: A request has been filed with the City of San Antonio to rezone the commercial property located at the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and East Mitchell Street (directly across from the Ever Kleen hotel) 1301 Roosevelt to allow for the operation of a bar/tavern.

The Public Meeting: The San Antonio Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to evaluate this request. All neighborhood residents are invited to attend this meeting to present their input, ask questions, or express their viewpoints to the commission before a formal vote is taken.

Time: 1:00 PM

Location: Development Services Department, 1901 South Alamo Street

Free food, fresh air, and a little friendly competition! ☀️⚽️🌭

The Roosevelt Park Neighborhood Association invites you and your family to our upcoming Picnic in the Park! We are bringing the community together for a day of fun, games, and great food, completely free for our neighbors.

Come ready to play! We’ll be hosting an all-ages game of kickball, so dust off your sneakers and get ready to run the bases. 🏃‍♂️💨
