Myths about missions: “If I don’t go on a mission trip, who else will save them from themselves?”​​​​​​​​

A lot of times we can make the mistake of thinking that it’s important to go on a mission trip because the people we are going to serve need us. The people we are going to serve do not need us, they need Jesus. It’s been said that we all have a terrible sickness, an incurable disease, it’s called sin. The only cure for that sin is Jesus. Everything else is just a bandaid. If we arrive and begin telling the people how they could do life better and try to correct their methods to be more like us, or build them houses, or bring them food for the next month, etc., those are all good things, but merely bandaids. What they really need is the gospel above all else because Jesus is the cure. Bandaids are helpful for small wounds, but a cure is needed for a deadly disease. In 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 Paul speaks of “becoming” many things in different capacities all for the sake of the gospel so that he may be a fellow partaker of it. Let us remember as we serve, we might need to be or do many different things, but it should all be for the sake of the gospel.

Featured student of the week: Asina would like to be a doctor when she grows up, because she would like to help people by giving medicine and bandaging wounds. She also says it’s a good paying job.
She is thankful to God for giving her parents jobs so they can provide food for their family. She is also thankful for her school clothes.

We have felt so much love every day for the past month from so many people who love Real 4 Christ Ministries!

Today, love looks like a burts bees baby gift set... and I can already envision a young mother receiving these lotions and soaps for her new baby... Yesterday, it was pop up soccer goals, balls and pumps for our pre school! I can’t wait to see our 4 and 5 years olds playing with them. We will definitely post pics!

We have been receiving gifts from the Amazon wishlist and cannot wait to take these things to restock our clinic and school supplies. Thank you to everyone who has given. We are blessed!
