We are saddened to hear of the (temporary?) closure of BRICK. This is a loss not only for Alright DrawNite artists, but for the entire San Antonio arts scene. For over a decade, BRICK has been a vital hub where countless shows, connections, and ideas have come to life. This space is made magic by management and employees who we count among our most dear friends. Although the future of the venue is uncertain, we’re pleased to hear that outstanding compensation for former employees has been settled.

As for Alright DrawNite, we are soon introducing a fantastic board of 2026 volunteers, who are currently busy scouting venues ready to host 30-40 artists, two life models and curated jams — in a chill environment. With thanks to our built-in regulars, emcees, door volunteers, snacks providers and DJs, we are an unincorporated entity exploring 501(c)(3) status!

To volunteer or stay plugged into South Texas figure drawing events, please follow our socials for the very latest — and do stay tuned for the next “Last Tuesday” … ✍️

Thanks to our tremendous group of volunteers, leaders and participants, Alright DrawNite is growing! In order to make the transition to a 501(c)(3), our current volunteer leadership board must choose a 2026 Board of Directors in Jan., to include a President, VP, Sec., and Treasurer + more! Would you like to be part of a board in the new year? Entertainment director? Stage manager? Social media manager? Quartermaster? Let us know what position/s we can add to best prepare ADN for the future. Nominations will be accepted between now and end of December. To nominate a friend (or yourself), just reply to this post — or send an email to [email protected] — by Dec. 31st. ✏️ —Ryan
