We want to increase the quality of educational applications so they apply to students in high level classes. That is why we have created an application, which will include flashcard content made by students. Students can easily upload content as either part of a class or as an individual. Who better to make content for applications than the people who are actually taking the course? To motivate th
em to do so, we provide Community Service Hours, a requirement needed in many high schools today.
2.At AFA, we recognize that traditional computer science classes aren't giving developers enough practice in implementing APIs and other advanced programming methods. On the Apps for Aptitude website, we post a list of “mini-projects” which students can work on and submit to AFA upon completion in exchange for service hours. These mini-projects are beneficial to both the students submitting them and AFA. Through coding, students will gain experience in programing, which they can use to make larger projects. They will also receive a large amount of community service hours if they successfully complete these projects. We educate these developers and encourage them to do greater things.
3. Nearly 25% of citizens in San Antonio are either illiterate or functionally illiterate, and San Antonio ranks 60th in literacy across the United States. It is obvious that something must be done. That is why Apps for Aptitude will donate its revenue to organizations fighting illiteracy in San Antonio. We want to make many people’s lives easier, and what better way to do it than helping those who can’t read.
