September was a month to remember for the Mays community! Thank you families for coming out to support our scholars in our inaugural football games on the newly seeded field, joining us for Grandparents Day breakfast and tasting the cultures of the community at our Loteria Night & Food Festival! We can't wait to see what October brings!

🐴🏆 INTRODUCING… GRADE TEAM OF THE WEEK! 🏆🐴
It’s time to see which grade level is ready to MUSTANG UP! 💙💛
Each week, grade levels will compete for the title of Grade Team of the Week based on:

📋 Fewest office referrals
👔 Fewest students out of uniform
⭐ Most students displaying our Core Values
🤝 Overall teamwork & Mustang spirit

It’s not just about following the rules—it’s about showing up for each other, making great choices, representing Mays with pride, and proving that we are stronger when we work together!
And now…the moment you’ve all been waiting for…

🥁🥁🥁
🏆 OUR VERY FIRST GRADE TEAM OF THE WEEK IS…

🎉🎉 9TH GRADE! 🎉🎉
Way to MUSTANG UP, 9th Grade! 🐴💙💛 Your teamwork, positive choices, and commitment to our Core Values have earned you the first-ever title!
Your grade level bulletin houses the "Grade Team of the Week" flyer for all to see and all students present next Friday, September 4th, will receive popsicles at lunch!👀🏆

Who will we celebrate next week? 🔥

Check out our 6th grade students bringing the energy to our Friday Huddle celebrations! 🎉

Our 6th grade team celebrated August birthdays, recognized students with shoutouts, and had some fun with Minute-to-Win It games!

It was the perfect way to celebrate our students, build community, and kick off the weekend with some Friday Huddle hype!💛💙

Awesome job, 6th Grade, for bringing the energy and making it a celebration to remember!

🎓🐎 Mighty Mustangs, Big Dreams! 💙💛

We are so proud to celebrate IDEA Mays Class of 2026 Mighty Mustangs Maria, Derek, and Charles as they begin an exciting new chapter at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas! 🎉📚

These three have come such a long way, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch them continue to grow, learn, lead, and make their mark on the world. Their journey is just beginning, and we know they are going to accomplish AMAZING things! 🌟

💡 Fun Fact: St. Mary’s University was founded in 1852 and is the oldest Catholic university in Texas and the Southwest! Even more fitting, its mascot is the Rattler—so Maria, Derek, and Charles are officially joining the Rattler family! 🐍💙💛
