Donors and Supporters,
Over the past three years The MaripoSA Difference has achieved much for our community. Our fundraising efforts have benefited Roy Mass Youth Alternatives, A21, For Her, St PJ’s Childrens Home and THRU Project. The MaripoSA Difference has raised awareness and directly touched the lives of those at risk or those who have been affected by human and s*x trafficking.
Fundraising, the core of our operations, is fun and exciting, but it takes a lot of time, diligence, and follow-through. The MaripoSA Difference has no paid staff and has always been a “volunteer only” organization. As such, all the time and effort put into our work comes after our families, our daily jobs, and other responsibilities. Although my passion for helping trafficking survivors and my heart's desire to make a difference in the community have been the motor behind me all these years, at this time I have to take a step back for the betterment of my family. I find myself caught between raising our last two young children and the blessing of now having grandchildren. This has been a very difficult decision, but I believe it is the right decision for now.
I cannot thank each of you enough for the time and support you have given The MaripoSA Difference. We owe a debt of gratitude to local businesses who helped us raise operating funds; Black Swan Yoga, Anarte Gallery, Couleur + Blind, The ARTS Residences @ The Thompson, Clear Light Coffee, San Antonio Business Women and Kendra Scott. And also, to all of our committee volunteers who worked tirelessly to make each event not only possible but a great success! A special thank you to our Board for their dedication to the work they did to move The MaripoSA Difference forward.
Most especially, to all donors and sponsors, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your faithful support.
All existing donor funds will be used to fulfill the 2022 grant for Trulight127 Ministries. I encourage you to discover their mission. Their passion for the important work they do with foster children in the community was what compelled our Board to choose them as this year's beneficiary.
Best wishes,
Liza Cole, President
