Lina Triesch is the founder of BrightBox HR & Recruiting, based in San Antonio. With over 20 years of experience in industrial and construction environments, she has worked closely with operations teams in scrap metal recycling, steel distribution, and related industries. She understands the pace and demands of the field and partners with companies to find the right people and support practical HR needs. Lina is especially passionate about culture, retention, and helping teams stay strong in fast-moving, hands-on environments.

She joined NAWIC to meet like-minded women with similar professional backgrounds, learn from their experiences, and explore ways to connect and support each other professionally.

She enjoys reading articles, meeting people from different backgrounds and spending time with her daughter.

Invitation: VIA Metropolitan Transit (hereinafter “VIA”) is seeking qualification statements (proposals) from responsible firms for VIA RFQ No. 26-376 Civil Design Engineering Services IDIQ. FTA Circular 4220.1G requires the procurement of Architectural and Engineering services in accordance with the “qualifications-based procurement methods” of the Brooks Act. VIA RFQ No. 26-376 Civil Design Engineering Services will provide but are not limited to: Civil Engineering; Surveying Services; Geotechnical Services; Mechanical Services; Electrical Services; and Plumbing Services.

Offerors must propose on all products listed above. VIA understands Firms/Contractors may not provide services for each product. In that case, Offerors are permitted to subcontract with Firms/Contractors who provide those products to submit a proposal as a Prime Contractor for the products they do not normally provide. It is VIA’s desire to contract with Firms/Contractors that can provide the expertise, quality, experience, and resources to effectively provide the services required. VIA reserves the right to contract with multiple firms. Therefore, VIA may not necessarily make an award to the Offeror with the lowest price. VIA will make the award to the responsible Offeror whose proposal is most advantageous to VIA with price, technical capabilities and other factors considered. See the attachment for greater details.

A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held via teleconference at 11 A.M. CST, May 26, 2026. Firms wishing to participate may join by clicking the hyperlink “Join” listed below. Upon entry into the meeting, firms will be asked to list their name, company, and email within the meeting chat. All prospective proposers are encouraged to attend.

✨ Welcome to NAWIC - Ashley Masch 👷‍♀️

As a native of San Antonio, Ashley’s heart was set on attending college at no place other than UTSA. Her eye for design drove her to a degree in Architecture, but she felt like something was missing. Only a month before graduation, she traded in her cap and gown for pursuance of a second degree, this one in Construction Science & Management. It was during a construction career fair that she discovered Nic Abbey Homes. In 2014, she started as an intern with the company and two days after graduation, she eagerly joined the Nic Abbey Homes Team full-time. As the Director of Operations, she currently oversees all purchasing and contracting, and her expertise is invaluable to Nic Abbey’s success as an acclaimed builder of luxury custom homes. Ashley works together with all vendors and homeowners to ensure the jobs run smoothly from the initial design phases through completion.

She joined NAWIC in hopes to connect with like-minded professionals who value community, collaboration, and meaningful engagement. I appreciate opportunities for networking, outreach, and shared insight, particularly among individuals with similar professional backgrounds and goals. Beyond the relationships and perspective I hope to gain, I also value the opportunity to contribute my own experience, support, and energy in a way that positively impacts the group and its broader communities.

She loves getting outdoors for hiking, baking sweet treats and making memories with her family.
