Here are a few of our favorite moments from the day. Lots of smiles, learning and kids just having a good time together.

A few more moments from our Town Hall 💙📸

We loved seeing so many families, kids, neighbors and community members come together, connect and share their thoughts about what they want to see for the Eastside.

These are the faces and voices that make our community what it is. Thank you again to everyone who spent part of their day with us. We’re just getting started! 🙌🏾

This is what community looks like 💙

Our Town Hall was about bringing people together, listening to each other, sharing ideas and talking about the future we want to build for the Eastside.

From our kids and families to our neighbors and community leaders, every voice matters and every conversation helps move us forward.

Thank you to everyone who came out, spoke up, listened and spent time with us. We’re excited about where we’re going and even more excited to build it together.

The future of the Eastside is bright. 🙌🏾

Join the Eastside Family Coalition this Saturday, August 29 for a day focused on bringing our community together, connecting families with resources, and making sure Eastside voices are heard.

Bring the family, come connect with us, and be part of what we’re building right here in our community. 💜

We want to hear from our Eastside families!

Join us on Saturday, August 29 for Voices of the Village: The Eastside Speaks, a town hall created to give our parents, caregivers, and youth a space to share what they need, what they’re seeing, and what they want to see from future programs in our community.

📍 Davis-Scott YMCA
🕚 11 AM – 2 PM
🍽️ Food will be provided

We’ll have a separate space for youth ages 12–19, a space for parents and caregivers, and supervised child care for children ages 5–11.

Space is limited, so please register ahead of time if you plan to join us.

We hope to see you there 💜

School is right around the corner, and we'd love to see you at our Back to School Community Event!

📅 Saturday, August 8
🕙 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Davis-Scott YMCA
1213 Iowa St. | San Antonio, TX 78203

We're bringing together families for a fun morning with:
🎒 Free backpacks
💇 Free haircuts
💅 Manicures
🎨 Face painting
💦 Water games
🎟 Teen raffles every hour
🥁 African drumming
🍽 Lunch
💃 Dance performances..and plenty more throughout the day!

Whether you're getting the kids ready for school or just looking for something fun to do as a family, we'd love to have you there.
