Pay It Forward SA Holistic sober housing solutions empowering long-term recovery 90% of all men and women relapse within the first 90 days of leaving treatment or detox.

Without a positive, safe and encouraging environment in which to live these newly recovering individuals hardly stand a chance. And rather than following the program of recovery they inevitably fall back into their old patterns and end up addicted and on the street again. Every day, we help heal the devastating effects of addiction by providing structured residential and assistance programs that reduce & prevent homelessness, unemployment, poverty and crime caused by substance abuse.

Last night, Pay It Forward SA staff and residents attended the premiere of Welcome Home: An Oxford House Story.

This inspiring documentary shared the story of how Paul Molloy created and expanded the Oxford House model, featuring the experiences of current residents and alumni from across the country. The film highlighted the powerful impact that stable housing, peer accountability, and shared responsibility can have on long-term recovery.

As one of Pay It Forward SA's largest and most valued community partners, Oxford House plays a critical role in helping individuals continue their recovery journey. It was inspiring to see the importance of recovery housing highlighted on the big screen and to be reminded of the life-changing opportunities these homes create every day. Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this story to life and showcasing the power of recovery, community, and second chances.

Over the weekend, a group of Pay It Forward SA residents attended a speaker jam at Rise Recovery! It was an incredible opportunity to connect with others in recovery, hear powerful stories of hope and perseverance, and spend time in community together.

This week, we wrapped up our semester-long family recovery project with an incredible team of Senior business students from the University of the Incarnate Word! đź’™ University of the Incarnate Word

Over the course of the semester, these students partnered with Pay It Forward SA to learn more about our mission, engage with our programs, and collaborate on ideas focused on strengthening support for parents in recovery from substance use disorder.
