we are no longer an open intake rescue due to personal medical issueswe are caring for our 24 senior pups aging from 8 yrs to 16 years old living out their golden years.we do have some rescue chicken that we took in they take great care of us providing fresh eggs. Need some 18pk 4.00$. Proceeds goes towards monthlyHeartworm meds for our dogs

Our Story

MHCR is a 501(c)(3) organization that was founded by Michelle Holmes back in 2011 with the vision of saving the lives of dogs in danger. Our mission is to save the lives of dogs that are on the euthanasia list at the City Shelter, take in those no longer wanted by their families helping San Antonio with the over population of dogs, and give them a place to stay until a loving permanent home is found. While at MHCR they receive care, love, time and attention that every pet needs from our tiredness volunteers. With this they become wonderful companions in their permanent forever homes.
