The Sunday of the Resurrection: Easter Sunday
Today in our Cycle of Prayer, we give thanks for St. Andrew’s, Corpus Christi; and Santa Fe Church, San Antonio.

The Collect
Almighty God, who through your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life: Grant that we, who celebrate with joy the day of the Lord's resurrection, may be raised from the death of sin by your life-giving Spirit; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

The Episcopal Diocese of West Texas has elected the Rev. Dr. David G. Read as its next bishop coadjutor elect! He will be consecrated and installed as the eleventh Bishop of West Texas on July 8 in All Saints Chapel at TMI Episcopal in San Antonio, pending the required consents.

Let us surround our bishop-elect, his family, and the diocese in prayer as we continue discerning our future together.
