Northside AFT is proud to endorse Northside ISD Propositions A–D! ✊🏼💙

Our students deserve qualified teachers, dedicated support staff, strong educational programs, and safe, well-maintained schools.

That’s why we’re standing behind Proposition A, which supports teacher and staff pay, and Propositions B–D, the NISD bond.

Investing in our educators, our schools, and our students means investing in the future of our entire Northside community.

Strong public schools start with the people who make them great! 💙

Sorry, our members are a little busy right now… they’re preparing the next generation. 🍎📚✊🏼

But on National Voter Registration Day, we’re reminding everyone that elections matter for our public schools.

Northside AFT appreciates the focus Team Texas Public Schools and Gina Hinojosa have placed on issues educators have been fighting for: end STAAR, stop state takeovers, end vouchers, put an educator in charge of TEA, and increase teacher pay.

Early voting is right around the corner. 🗳️ Not registered yet? Northside AFT can help! Contact us and we’ll get one of our Volunteer Deputy Registrars out to help you register.

Our members are busy preparing the next generation. Let’s make sure their voices are heard, too. ✊🏼

Northside AFT was proud to be out today supporting our endorsed candidates Kristian Carranza for State Representative, Zack Dunn, and Adrian Reyna for Texas State Representative! ✊🏼💙

We need strong advocates in the Texas House who will stand with working people, fight for our neighborhood public schools, and make sure the voices of educators and school workers are heard.

Our members know elections matter, and we’re ready to put in the work to elect candidates who will fight alongside us.

Let’s get Kristian, Zack, and Adrian elected this November! 🗳️✊🏼

Just a reminder, Northside AFT family…

Today's previously scheduled Union Hall Grand Opening has been postponed.

As it turns out, even unions can't bargain with plumbing. 😅🚽

Right as we were putting the finishing touches on your new union hall, we ran into a major plumbing issue that needs to be repaired before we can safely welcome everyone inside.

We're already working through the repairs and will announce a new grand opening date as soon as we can.

Thank you for your patience and support. We're disappointed by the delay, but we can't wait to celebrate with all of you very soon and welcome you into your union hall. ✊🏼
