SBDC Day is a national celebration recognizing the powerful impact of Small Business Development Centers in helping entrepreneurs start, grow, and succeed. At the UTSA Small Business Development Center, we are proud to be part of this, providing expert advising and training to small businesses across San Antonio and the 10 surrounding counties.



In 2024 alone, we dedicated 7,673 advising hours, helped over 11,000 individuals through training, and supported the creation of 635 new jobs and 74 new businesses. Our work has contributed to over $32 million in capital formation, helping small businesses secure the funding they need to thrive.



Whether you need guidance on business planning, securing funding, financial analysis, marketing strategies, or expansion planning, we are here to help. Our no-cost, confidential business advising and no-cost & low-cost training programs are designed to support entrepreneurs at every stage of their business journey.

Yesterday, we held a very interesting meeting with the Secretaría de Economía representatives to present the Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) model and explore collaboration opportunities to support the expansion of the
Network in Mexico, thanks to the U.S. Embassy in Mexico

Greateful to participate in U.S. Department of State delegation to Mexico with U.S. MX Embassy officials, UTSA Institute for Economic Development, AMCDPE, World Trade Center Monterrey - UANL (Wtc Monterrey), ITESO, Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara, and Massachusetts SBDC, to promote the growth of entrepreneurship and MSMEs in Mexico through the SBDC model with Tecnológico Nacional de México (Tecnm) and Secretaría de Educación Pública - SES representatives.
